Rushhour: Fastest way from Western 'burbs to W. Milwaukee

Stupid thread of the day, am I better off taking Route 59 north or hopping on 94 North and fighting traffic?

Thanks in advance, I'm picking up a new-to-me car tonight.

Tonight? Going north isn't that big a deal except for the 90 area, especially since they redid 294. I'm not sure if they started any new construction yet though...that's the wild card.

Only 224k miles young.

Nope, picking up something older in years but much younger in miles and something I've always wanted.

You think I90 East to 53 north and take County Line across to 94 North?

That's should work. Don't take Dundee (68) 'cause you can't get on 294 N or 94 N from there.

You'll hit traffic where 90 and 53 merge, but when you get to the north end of 53 most of the traffic goes west on lake cook.

You're other option would be to take palatine rd. east (turns into Willow) and hit 294 N and that will run you into 94 N. Don't take Willow all the way to 94 N because that section blows.

your last option would be 53 N to Lake Cook E to Arlington Heights Rd. N to 83 N to Half Day Rd (22) east to 94 N. Half Day runs a slower speed limit than Lake Cook or Palatine Rd. though.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

Lol, I put a lightning link in your AR when you weren't looking and called the BATFE!

Just got home a few hours ago.

1997 Lincoln Mark VIII with 45k on the clock, clean CarFax one owner with full service records and window sticker ($41,215) for $4k. Not an LSC unfortunately but every other option, including the $790 Car phone that eats up all of the center console's storage space (I took it out tonight though).

Needs a good clay bar-ing, some chrome touch up and a Cobra intake manifold but is very compliant and moves out at speed. Hit 130 on I90 on the way home. Runs on premium for the 32v Cobra engine, but got 26.7 MPG on the way home at 75mph.

Why they don't make cars like this anymore is beyond me.

Giant and unnecessary but I dig it. Something about a car I can own for 4 years and break even on that makes my dick hard.

Thanks guys, it's definitely an old man car, feels VERY vague and removed compared to the S2000 but for just cruising with the A/C on, it'll be perfect. Especially when doing 110mph down the highway ripping down quarter pounders in the old non- biodegradable containers.

I'm an asshole.

Twice the gas mileage? You have an STi putting out 1,200 horse or something? I thought Subies were pretty efficient.

Nice man, I loved that 2.5RS when it first came out. A guy on NASIOC had a 2.5RS to STi swap up for sale about a year ago that I got close to pulling the trigger on. Looked just like this guy:

i built the car when I had a commute that was 12 miles and gas was $2/gallon. Now my commute is twice as far and gas is $4/gallon. It's time she finds a new home after 9 1/2 years.

Old picture, it's starting to rust because of being hit twice in as many years and a retard who replaced my windshield.
