Looking for a Go-Kart Engine

Looking to help someone with a basic go-kart build so if you have a suitable engine laying around for cheap (like $50 and a 12 pack of beer cheap) let me know!

I'd say talk to Butch for a lawnmower engine and then toss one of these on there:

HARBOR FREIGHT 6.5 OHV motor. $99.00 alot of times on sale

Buy a throttle kit, remove governor, clip oil sensor. Reliable, quiet, cheap. Get the $20 warranty and replace it when it goes junk =)

They have a race class based off of them now.

That's really what I was likely going to consider anyways (well, not Harbor Freight exactly but that's the lead I was looking for!) This is a first time build for my Bro and he wants to start small.

Why don't you make Tony an offer on the RM125 widowmaker motor? I'm pretty sure that thing has some death and dismemberment left in it.

Tony's garage is still a little too close for comfort!

I think I'm going to go with this:

http://www.arcracing.com/servlet/the...a-Clone/Detail

Supposed to be a cheap, reliable engine that's been used by cart racers in the smaller classes for a long time.
