Fall Drive - Oct 9th (Scenic Route)

This came from Audi Car Club, but is open to anyone...

Fall Drive Sunday, October 9th

Please join us and other car enthusiasts on Sunday morning, October 9th, 2011 for a chance to see old friends and meet new ones, enjoy your cars, some fun roads and fall colors!

Meet between 8:30 - 9:30 AM at the Deer Park Shopping center (Panera Bread/Starbucks), located at 20580 N Rand Rd, Deer Park, IL.

From there, we will go for a winding drive on scenic roads in western Lake and eastern McHenry Counties. There will be a few spots along the way where you can stop and rest, enjoy the view, take some group pictures, etc. We will pass through couple small towns with some crafty stores and ice cream shops as well. It is a good idea to bring along one or more navigators to help with directions and to keep track of the speed limits! The drive will run about 2 hours and will be followed by a lunch (on your own) at Portillos in Vernon Hills, IL.

There is no fee to register for this event, but we encourage you to send us an email and let us know how many friends/family/kids you will be bringing so we can have an accurate count. You do NOT need to be a member of the Audi Club to participate.

Sounds pretty cool.

Pete, are you doing this?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I'd be up for a Cage Day that day. I was thinking about one, too, but wasn't sure if people would show up to one so soon.

Totally forgot to check back on this thread. Sorry.

Yes, I'll be doing this, as well as another friend of mine (both in RS4's) and bringing along a buddy to take pics.

We should have some great weather for this.

It was great, thanks. The weather was PERFECT. Great roads, nice cars, good people. All in all a very nice spirited ride.

We had 2 RS4's, 2 TT's, an S5, couple S4's, 3 P cars, couple of Bimmers, and a VW or two.

(pics by my buddy Aaron).

I'll sell her to you in 1.5 to 2 years. Had her almost a year. Usually like to keep my cars 2.5 to 3 years before I want to change. Can't say that'll happen with this one though!!

Oh, or I'll trade you for three 1098's a, Xerox or Fila 999, and a 600rr trackbike. Love those!!
