Spare me the "For that kind of money I would get...." or "My brother had a _____ and it was a POS" - I fucking dig this thing - Watched a few shows on it and folks seem to dig it and with the low end you can get out of a 2.0T and then work you can do to the "T" I would be all over this fucking thing - Would DEF do the 4 door

Bitchin.....

I admit the look of the 2 door is pretty sweet, it's a unibody though, not BOF which makes me wonder about its offroad capability. TopGear's review was pretty favorable though.

Handsome vehicle. The coupe reminds me of my Lincoln, giant waste of space but good looking and probably pretty enjoyable to drive.

I'm with ya Bug. I love this new SUV. Looked at leasing one for the lady, but...since they are so new, they're going for full price and some. $1,000/month for a lease...not even close to worth it. Loaded at $55K MSRP, lets assume $50K "selling" price with another brand, and you're looking at a payment in between $600 and $700 depending on terms. $1,000...no way.

I strongly urge anybody considering this to think twice before buying any Land Rover/Range Rover POS. Undoubtedly the biggest hunk of dog crap on the road. If you are prepared to be seriously disappointed with quality and reliability and discovering you paid 3 times what it's worth, go for it.

If you don't sully the VW betwixt now and then you lemme know. I'll offer you medium dollar for it - probably. Price to reflect the fact that it's a V6, and I will need to pay professionals to remove some of those stains.

I love how folks who heard about RR's troubles back in the 2000s (or even experienced them) just SLAM them now - Quality Control is 100% different now and know many that own them without the slightest issue

And yes Steve, most of the folks on here who say stuff I just glance over and never take to heart - There are ones who I trust and understand what they are telling me and others that I don't - All I have said in this thread is how cool I think this thing is and I would love to own one but with my current situation, I am not far enough into the VW yet - Mind you, the VW is SOLID and I love this truck and it does it all - I just dig this thing though

The VW will most likely get driven til the wheels fall off which is rare for me (bought this one) as I typically lease

SD - I have (3) Bros w/RR and Sports all over 75K in miles and with basic, routine and covered by Warranty (regardless of RR, these make sense) maint, have had ZERO issues - NOW, with that being said, I would say from about '07 back, they were shit - All the '08s and up that I know of are just fine - Glad your boys is good - I can only speak to the '08s and up that I know of - Although I do have a mate with an '03 w/110K on it and it is a champ but he has extended the warranty a few times and it has been in the shop a few times too

People also told me to stay away from BMW, Mercedes, Audi and my fav, VW - Owned them all and can honestly say that the only car I had MINOR issues with was my '04 A4 and it was all under Warranty hence why I don't take a lot of stock in internet advice

A dealer had a couple at Oak Brook Center a few months ago and the woman and I were checking them out. I was impressed, I really liked the fit/finish of the vehicle. I liked the size as well, it was huge, but it looked solid. I wish I could have taken it for a test drive.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
