I can't see them wanting to compete with the 911s/R8s of the world considering this car is going to be half the price of those, unless they want the ZR-1 to compete?

But I love the look of the exterior, the interior, not so much. It looks too... .... video game cockpit looking? I think that's the description I'm looking for. Hopefully they change that.

And don't use the Camaro tail lights.

For desirability. All surveys they've been doing, the corvette gets rated as an old man car. They want to have the " kids" dream about owning a vette.

I always dreamed of owning a Corvette, but I'm guessing it's the situation they are trying to avoid.

When I get old, I want to retire to the state that only old, retired people would ever want to live (Florida), buy a 'vette and cruise around all day, never going above 20 mph.

Just kidding...

I would never want to live in Florida.

on't know how old you are, but they want you to buy one, when you are still in your 30s. Here is a link to the article I referred to: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-0...ew-design.html

I need to make a lot of $$$ this year...

My 08 Z06 will be paid off this June and I should finally be out of divorce court. (I can't believe it's been over 4 fucking years.) My combined monthly maintenance payments should drop by over $5k a month and I'll be able to get my life back on track. I'd have to make a shitload of $$$ this year to get a new one, but look out 2014.

not sure about interior, taillights are from the camaro, and there's never been a corvette with 1/4 windows, yet this one has them.

to me, it looks like a 599, which is bad ass, but the rear is not doing it for me.

Call me loopy, but the more I look at it the more the rear view reminds me of a 458 Ferrari.

From that rear view it still looks like a Vette, which is a good thing I suppose.

I bow to superior insight.

After all the Vette is a whole lot faster, cheaper and more reliable.

BTW, do you still bomb around in your 335xi? Still liking it?

The top is down, on the black Corvette
And it's fly, cause it's sittin on Dayton's
Laurents steering wheel, plushed out, gold-leaf phantom top and three girls waiting

VRRRROOM engine's blowin, the chrome, is shining
Passing all the cars on the way

Movement of the wind, back wheels spin
Pop in a cassette and push play

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"
