Race Report from Day 3 and 4 of the Fall Fling

Saturday Criterium 2
Race started slow. Mofos crashed. Some fly ass mofo on a Felt F1 lead a few laps like a retard. Another fly ass nigga on a BMC lead for a few. 3/4 way through I look over to my right because some nigga had loud ass cogs that was puttin a hurtin on my hearing. It was KK with his race face on. So I was like Yo nigga yo freewheel thang be louder than a mofo. he was all stay where you are. Don't get boxed in. I was all aight nigga. The end came, I got boxed in and reacted to the final surge like a retard and dropped off the back leading up to the field sprint. Finish 17th out 100 riders. Okay more like 28 but it looked like there was 900 niggas out there.

Sunday Criterium 3
A bit hungover from Saturday night festivities. Felt like dog shit but I'z hard as a mofo so I knew it would be all right. Race starts and a lil xxx/athletico dickwad goes sprinting off the front. We was all yo we fina let this nigga go? Another XXX guy Jim says this is his first race he doesn't know what he's doing but you never know with these young guys. Then BOOM everyone chases dickwad down and mofos won't let up once we pulled the kid back in. By then a bunch of niggas got dropped off the back already due to there being too many surges. Lap 3 or 4, I react a bit too late to a sudden acceleration and a big gap forms and Jonboy comes flying past me. So I was like damn we fina get dropped and couldn't have that so I had to use some ninja skills and took off after the main field of 14 on a full fucking sprint hoping there would not be another surge. I tried to yell at Jon to "let's go" but nothing came out of my mouth. Caught the main field like a muthafuckin Boss and stayed with it and got in on the field sprint but only managed 31.x mph as my legs were fucking dead and I was redlined the entire race. The winner of the race hit 39.8mph on the sprint. 14th out of 500.

Word up From the BMC riding fool..

It was fun doing the crit racing stuff and had a great time.

Sunday's race was tougher on me being still sick. I trying catching back up to the main group but didn't have it in me and gave up after was told 2 laps left sign was waived.

My wife came along for the ride and still thinks I nuts for doing this kind of stuff, but did enjoy the whole thing, that or she liked my pain and suffering..

She thought is was funny the Glenn and his brother where just riding along, chatting about whatever... She tell me that "I don't think they broke into a sweat, that they were chatting and laughing the whole way around."

Now you guys know most of the facets of racing/training. If you are weak in one area, it will be exposed in a crit usually. Endurance, speed, muscle, sprint, etc. You have to train every single one of those facets to be good at it.
