Someday I'll check that place out but for now the weather's too nice not to ride outside. I'll be up at Kettle Saturday for a 30+ mile ride if you're interested. Probably starting around 9:30. I'm getting my money's worth out of that annual pass.

I usually make it up there at the crack of noon

Weather shows it still being in the 30's until after 11:00

My low FTP makes me set 39.999 degrees as my lower limit for woods riding. I don't want to end up like sniffles

I might be able to make 11:00

I could probably do 11 or what I may do is just show up around 10, ride and then head back to the parking lot to meet you. I've got some things to do later in the day and want to get some miles in before I need to leave.

My original plan was to do a full monty plus another 3-5mile loop back at Muir. Last week I did a full monty plus the white loop at Muir for 32miles and wanted to add a couple miles to that. Really though I'm down for whatever.

Route from last week. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/241715390

Looks like you were hammering based on the cadence and avg mph. My last ride there was 7.5mph, where is your HR monitor?

How about this.
Do your extra loops when you first get there
Then when I show up we can do the Full Monte.
I think that should put us back in time for Tony.

If we do The full monte as a group we have to be rolling by 10:30 as it will take 4.5hrs.

I am just doing the blue loop and call it a day.

I still need to pick up a HR strap. Checked a couple of local bike shops but none of them stock garmin accessories. Going to see if I can find a REI or Performance store tomorrow that has one in stock. Is this the one most of you use or is there another brand you prefer? https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=15490

Sounds good. Depends how motivated I am and if anyone else wants to start earlier. Regardless I'll be in the parking lot ready to roll by 11.

What mileage are you guys planning?

Chris I do have a garmin HR strap. The one you posted looks nice, that is what I would buy if I needed one.

I like this idea.. Blue is easy route and can be done in under 2 HRS easy riding.

Looks like they've updated the HR straps. Mine came with the bike computer so I am not much help.
I think the full monte is around 28 miles give or take.
Blue loop at Muir then I think the longest on the emma side is the green loop

I'll try to have my stormtrooper gear and bike set by 10:30

I only uploaded fast rides, funny because my 5min power looks bigger then it really is. I put one of my cross races on there and I was dam near DFL of the guys who uploaded their race... Talk about popping the balloon of confidence.
