Copper Harbor MTB trip 2013

Lets do this!!! Was figuring maybe 4 days at minimum including travel there and back with two solid days to ride, relax and ride some more. About an 8 hr drive one way give or take. There are some pretty sweet trail systems along the way we could always stop at to help break up the drive too.

I'm pretty sure I read before that prime riding time is July-Sept but would need to research that some more. There's nice camping options as well as cabins minutes from the trail head. I have a list with that info somewhere and will post up more as I have time. This is open to anyone interested in riding some sweet ass single track.

So who's interested? I'm pretty flexible on dates right now but was thinking end of June/early July time frame.

Pics from the other thread because I can't get enough of them.

July 26-29 would be my only available dates. Don't plan around me, but if it turns out that is a good date, I would most likely be in.

I'm not opposed to those dates. Would work for me. Meltdown is the weekend before and no WORS or WEMS races going on then either. The Wausau 24 is that weekend but haven't signed up for it. Would much rather do this trip anyway.

Possibly. Have to check what my wife's race schedule looks like but it fits in mine.

I'd love to go ride there. Right now i'm planning on moving to Colorado in May and won't be able to make it to the UP. It looks like awesome singletrack, love how they have random jumps in the trails.

I'll be staying in Littleton at first. Not sure where i'll stay after that as I like to live close to where I work.

There is a nice climb right by my friends house that i'll be staying at. I plan on hitting this route asap. I found it on 303Cycling.com http://303cycling.com/colorado-bike-rides

Thanks, I'll be riding with you guys as much as possible before I go. Plus there really is no other acceptable excuse to pass on singletrack that looks as good as those pics.

So it looks like I have a wedding to go to up in Eagle River July 27th(little under 3hrs from CH). Going to see if I can work out one day to get up to Copper Harbor from there. If you guys still find that the July 26-29th weekend works and can make it, maybe we can meet up.

E River is not under 3 hours from Chicago, its pushing twice that. I have a place just N of there and travel there often.

Don't know if the 7/26-7/29 dates we were talking about still work for everyone. Imagine most won't know until we get closer. I'm obviously out for that full weekend but have a slim chance of making it up for one of the days.
