Absolutely. I was hoping they wouldn't matter much so I didn't have to obsess over keeping them and fitting every damn bike with them, but they do. My Mavic Ksyrium ES clincher wheels versus Zipp 404 tubulars dropped almost a pound and a half. That is HUGE.

I'm mainly into riding. Once the vehicle is built I just ride it faster than anybody else can. Stop worrying about what tires you have and just get a HR monitor and work on your FTP and stop acting like a track day rider.

Make sure your last race before upgrading doesn't include crashing out of a CAT 5 race.

You are missing a very valuable part of training without it. It gives clues to what you should work on and how hard your training really was. If you did that ride at 140 HR then I'd be impressed. If you did it at 180 then you are tapped out.

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/301449686

102 miles at 19 mph at 144 HR. That is how you know where your training is at and how hard you were going. Power is even more specific. MPH is the weakest indicator of what you did. So there.

I'll be too tired to fight after HHH this weekend and LITH on sunday. Plus I'm in a lower weight class than you are now at 165.

I think Chunkster was referring to Triple H as in the old as [email protected] WWE wrestler.

If these new wheels don't make at least 2mph faster. I will crush them in an industrial press and record it and post it on here.
