It's a little over two weeks away. Who's doing this? I'm in pending a perfect weather forecast...maybe.

Me and the kid should be there. I'm hoping to finally crash in the rock garden this year. So far my super awesome natural bike skillz have let me float over it each year. In case it matters, the rock garden and better tougher singletrack is only for Comp and above, so race up if you want a challenge.

Early Cat2 start makes it really tough with the drive, would need to come in the day before. Too early to tell just yet but I'd like make it happen as it looks cool!!

Yeah not crazy about the start time and that sport races Saturday. Would have to come up the day before on Friday in which case I'd hope to make it in time to get a pre-ride in. Would make coming up the day before a little more worth it.

Figured the more challenging singletrack would be left to the upper classes but hopefully sport has some fun stuff thrown in. That rock garden looks pretty gnarly and I would most definitely crash in it with all those people around watching.

My triathlon last weekend had me up at 3am and in the water before 7am. This is not early.

Pass! The only time I git up dat early is if I smell someone barbequing outside or to grab me a cold pop.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go but have to see how I make out.
I banged up my shoulder pretty good goofing off last week.

Why not add another option for those of us that are not early rising old men. There's also the Sunderbruch Park Race with IHRS in Davenport(not far from Sylvan), Sunday July 14th.

Would give me an additional 3 hrs of sleep due to sport race start time and travel time to the park. Has anyone ridden there? Watched some vids of the trails and kind of impressed. Still on the fence because I'd love to do the WORS race too. Just not crazy about the start time Sat morning and going up the night before doesn't look like an option for me now due to work.

what to do?! That race looks much more practical and the trails look fun. I'd still like to do the subaru cup but if I blow my wakeup time I'll fall back on Sunderbruch

Me and the kid did some hill repeats last night to get ready for the weekend. I'm stoked to do some singletrack finally. Road riding is super gay.

If you didn't ride yesterday you better get an easy ride in today. Don't go to the race with flat legs.

I would try CAT 1 but you need a CAT 1 license to race it. Just make sure you hammer the start and get in front of me before we hit the singletrack so I can swear at you when we are in there and tell you not to clog up the trail.

Why do the younger handsomer Cat 2's have to start so damn early and well before the early rising Cat 2 40+ men. So stupid.

And what are the classifications for a Clydesdale? If I'm 5'11" 160 now, how short or fat would I need to be by tomorrow to qualify?

I could become a clydesdale after a visit to Portillos! They had the old guys starting early, but I wanted to start later so they switched up the schedule. They know what's up.
