No bleeding from me and I did the sport race which was 15 miles. That was the first time I puked on a bike.

Got tangled up at the start and think I was close to dead last climbing the hill it seemed. Didn't hit anything and was just doing my own race. Made a few trails of my own to get around people and it stuck, but only to come to a dead ass stop in a up hill or something stupid from other riders, and me following to closely to not have another line to take. Chain came off once in one the cluster fuck ups and that cost me a minute or two. All in all a great time and a fun race. I was feeling it on the way home, I'm sure in the morning I'll feel it for sure.

I'm super mad brah! I hammered the start and found myself 5th up the hill overall, then passed a few bumblefucks sightseeing on the downhill after one ran wide and into the damn forest and the other just fell prey to my wicked moves and found myself in 3rd spot. On the flat before the singletrack there were a few moves by others and I held my spot well, getting passed by a couple guys then passing them back. Turn left at Bullfrog and I clowned one guy and snuck by him before going into the singletrack, so I'm 2nd now overall. We go up the hill and around the corner and another pesky jackass passes me right before the downhill and makes me mad brah! We hit the downhill and I'm all over the brakes trying not to hit this no bike handling fool and I make a split second decision to pass him back on the downhill off the trail like a fucking boss. I gave him enough room because that's the kind of clean racer I am and was way the hell off the trail and sucked up a big ass branch into my derailleur and ripped it clean off the damn bike. I then swore my head off like a serious bike racer should and was contemplating throwing the bike but the 100 slackers I was killing were barreling down on me now like I was dead wood so I scooted my sorry ass off the trail and waited 10 minutes for them all to come by and then walked my high FTP legs back up the trail for the 1.25 miles I rode up to that point in shame and got 1700 mosquito bites and thought about killing him and killing myself and buying maybe a 29er and how good Culver's was gonna taste soon after that. The end. I'm mad brahs!

Way to kill it for 5 min! That's better than only lasting two minutes.

Or last year for that matter.

Two DNF's for the Palos meltdown in last two years. Perhaps you should ride a single speed with a coaster brake.

Next year I'm gonna run the whole damn thing if I have bike problems again. I'm still bummed about that race. Not only for the potential great result, but for more testing to see how my fitness is coming along. Hard to claim a race win for 2 hours by the first 5 minutes.
