Intervals

tell me about your interval training. I did some intervals today. 1 minute on and 1 minute off. Did 6 sets of it. It's a bitch.

I actually really don't do any. I don't even train much. I have just been racing every weekend and that is all I have right now. I am working on base again to keep up with La Ruta demands, and that's about it. That is why I suck at sprinting and short fast bursts. Not worried about it though.

The best intervals are mountain bike and cyclocross racing. That's all you need to know. Time and intensity are determined on race day by your competitors. Sign up!

I do computrainer classes. I dig it but not everybody thinks its awesome to pay to ride inside. The good thing is its mostly interval workouts and some low cadence climbing workouts too. Its structured well and theres no traffic or other shit to get in your way. Work hard and go the fuck home. I take them with Vision Quest, they have a few locations and at least one is in Chicago.

There is truth in this statement. Hence can't wait for CX season to start. Oh and the last mtn race (Palos Meltdown) was the first time I puked on a bike.

I'm kind of stoked for CX season too. Once I find some time this coming week I'm gonna go through the new CX bike and see what needs to be replaced/lightened and then I'll be set. Thinking about going with just one ring up front. I don't think I've ever shifted the one on my other bike.

You have clothes on and doing worry you'll be warm and sweating real quick as well as gasping for air the whole time. Sounds like fun doesn't it.

CX is only for real fast bike racers or real slow bike racers or tough people in general. You're not in any of those groups bro. Stay curled up on the couch while the bike racers race.

Where is your sense of adventure??

Seriously, pick a round to do and you can use my bike. It is truly a lot of fun but it is and can be hard work. It is and was a very humbling experience as least for me it was.
