I hope BDK is training his puny legs on his ButtHole bike or Gaymis so he doesn't get bumped down to CAT 5 again. How embarrassing.

While all you "athletes" are competing at internet biking, I did my last FTP test of the winter. Not as high as I had hoped, but I was the only one that improved their FTP over the last test in my class. That's probably because I had a really bad test last time (no riding in Dec because of the my crash at state CCC championships), and low-cadence intervals isn't so good for raising FTPs. I'm still below what I tested at in the middle of cross season. I forgot my heart rate monitor at home, but I bet I was pushing 210 BPM at the end and probably had an average in the low 190s.

Here are the data logs:
Cadence (40 min to 60 min was the test): http://cyclemeter.com/bb4ac4768a4180...40305-1828?r=f

PerfPro (power): http://perfprostudio.com/users/FWKUY...htz/2azhtz.htm

The trainer running the program didn't have a lot of bad things to say about my chart, except maybe not hitting quite so hard at 15, and trying to maintain the increase at that point through the rest of the run. You can see I had a bit of a dip. That might have cost me a watt or two, so not a huge deal. I was also in between gears for a lot of it. I was started at the high 80s for RPM, then shifted harder at 10 and dropped to about 85 RPM despite power going up. Then went back down and spun low 90s until the last minute where I upshifted again and spun out in the mid 80s.

At the end of this I may still not be fast, but I'll be an expert at doing FTP tests

Making fun of Internet biking with bench racing numbers. Really good numbers though! Nice work man. I have to make time to ride more.

Nice Sean! You looked pretty strong at the Intent class. Test taking skillz probably add about 5-10 to your FTP in my opinion. Once you know about where you are supposed to be it definitely helps. My biking will be chillin' until after the Shamrock Shuffle, then I'll be on it hopefully errday! I will be riding to/from work much more this year. I say that every year, but this year it will happen. Planning on a long ride outside this Sunday if anybody wants to join. Prolly 70 miles give or take. First 30 will be with my kid.

I'd be up for a ride on Sunday if the forecast holds. It looks like Sunday's weather may be fairly representative of Barry, so it'll be a good excuse to try a proper kit.

I'm booked three evenings a week with non-riding stuff this summer, so I plan on trying to ride to work twice a week to get the miles in. It's a bit hard because there aren't any showers in my building, and the buildings on site with showers won't let people hold lockers overnight. I can't get away with not showering, either. I do plan to keep up big rides every weekend.
