Thinking about an old bike.....

I want to start looking for an old single , small in size , to restore . European would be nice , but will consider anything . A complete bike is prefered .Any input from you guys would be nice. I have a spot in the house for this project .

We offer three kinds of service @ Resurrection
GOOD - CHEAP - FAST
You can pick any two
GOOD service CHEAP won't be FAST
GOOD service FAST won't be CHEAP
FAST service CHEAP won't be GOOD
and cold beer.

I'd love to help but I don't chase parts.
Please contact other forum members and supporters for parts.

An old British single would be cool from the 50's or 60's.

Yeah, just helped a guy from Michigan load his nice Old British Single onto the back of a tow truck tonight. Electrical issues 350 miles from home.

Just sayin.

The problem with a scooter is that I'll want to ride it . I just want something for display. Would like to see pics of that moped .

Yea I see some BSAs and nice old Triumphs on CL from time to time. Even the non-runners seem to go for big $$$.

OH! Maybe I am misinterpreting what you are looking for. So you are looking for a bike to restore aesthetically to display inside your house (aka non-runner that will never run)?

This.....still kind of cheap, neat engineering and you can find parts. Popular in racing as well.

I would love to have a BSA Gold Star on permanent display in my home, I would be too scared to take it on the road

Ace Motorcycle and Scooter has a running one (needs some rust cleaned up and P.O. did a "meh" paint restoration on it) for $3k
