Cafe Racer TV Show on HD Theater

I really hope they pick things up because IT SUCKED!

The show seemed to be 5 minutes long and 25 minutes of commercials. There was NO detail given to anything.
Here is Dime City Cycles getting ripped off
Here is this guy making an electric race bike
Here is some cafe racers in Dallas
Here is Billy Joel, he likes bikes...

THATS IT! It didn't even flesh out anything. I am really disappointed

I didnt watch it but kinda figured it would suck. the whole cafe racer rock a billy lifestyle is better when its non mainstream. Kinda like how macs used to be cool before they were mainstream.

Sad thing is, I have an idea for a motorcycle show that has yet to be done and it would rock! But I have no agent or any clue how to get something like that off the ground.

I've submitted the idea for "tony's shed" to TLC, they've agreed on the condition that once a every few episodes the guys working out there get a little too drunk and have sword fights. Needless to say you guys are on your own.

All these "motorcycle builder" shows are more about the drama than motorcycles. I set this one to record but haven't watched it yet.

One of those morons from that stupid show where they yell at each other and weld crap all over the sides of ugly choppers was at the Blackhawks game the other night delivering some turd that the team ordered for a charity auction.

I will give the show credit for the "pilot" episode (more like a documentary) which actually aired earlier this year already which gave a backstory to the whole Mods vs Rockers movement. That one was really well done.
However it is the following episode of the actual "show" sucks. They set up a segment that could actually be really interesting. You get a taste and then it cuts to a commercial and then it switches to a different segment, leaving you saying "but....but....but.....FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU"

We offer three kinds of service @ Resurrection
GOOD - CHEAP - FAST
You can pick any two
GOOD service CHEAP won't be FAST
GOOD service FAST won't be CHEAP
FAST service CHEAP won't be GOOD
and cold beer.

I'd love to help but I don't chase parts.

I'd watch a show filmed in the Resurrection garage, though after editing to make it politically correct and safe for tv there wouldn't be much left to show .

The reality of commercial television...give the viewer a taste and hit 'em with the commercials. It's not easy to give the viewer much in a half hour show. I do know that Mike Seate is very passionate about the subject and wants to present the Cafe' Racer scene in a good way, keep watching, I'm sure there will be some interesting and brilliant segments. A lot was filmed at Mods vs. Rockers in Chicago and Rockerbox in Milwaukee.
I agree that it loses something when it goes mainstream TV, as does everything. The trick is to be around when the "mainstreamers" move on to the next 15 minute phenomenon and things go back to normal.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

Yep so after the last episode I am pretty much just watching the show for comic relief, I don't know why but I find it unintentionally hilarious. If it wasn't for that, I would have stopped watching it a while ago.

I don't mind it - I like to see the builds - I kind of laugh seeing Fletch on TV as well

The show has been picked up for another season and will be expanded to a one hour show instead of a half hour next year, so most audience feedback must be positive or executive producer Chet Burkes wouldn't be putting the extra money into it.
If you like what you see there will be more of it next season, if not...let Mike Seate know. He's always interested in feedback to improve the show. Come to IMS in Februaray or Mods vs. Rockers in June and you can talk to him personally. He'll listen.
