KZ750 LTD, need shorter cables

When you guys change out the handle bars, how or what do you guys do for shorter cables?(Clutch/Throttle) I managed to reroute cables when I went from my LTD bars to an Emgo GP Touring bar, but like resurection said in another thread, it looks messy.

Being that I am in the process of doing a R1 front end swap, what would be the best way to get a more appropriate cable?

Buy cables for the KZ model.
They had flatter bars.

Thanks as usual, I will certainly contact Z1, and see about regular cables instead of LTD cables.
