Mods Vs Rockers 2009

Hey all,

Be sure to check out Mods vs Rockers 2009 today (Saturday, June 20) from 1-5pm at 2117 N. Lincoln Ave in front of Delilah's.

I will be there for a while with my cafe racer and taking a bazillion pictures. I will post some gems later on.

Pics are uploading now so I will do the boring text part. The show was TONS of fun...no pun intended hehe...

I got there at around 1:10 and the place was already filling up fast. A guy directed me to park my bike next to all the other vintage Hondas. As I pulled in I met a guy my age with a CB350 also parking so we had a good chat about how unreliable our bikes are.....I mean...their character

Basically it was a big old show and tell, with about 2 blocks of bikes lining the streets. There were old Indians, ducatis, BMWs, Triumphs, a Velocette, Nortons, and a lot of Japanese bikes. There were a few guys that rode in on modern bikes and Harleys, but they were met with sighs and were told to park in the back haha! I spent a good 3 hours just walking around waiting for new bikes to come in and snapping pictures of them. The noise was incredible, very few people had stock exhaust and the rumbling could be heard far away and it never stopped. Everyone seemed to be breaking the rules of the road in front of the Chicago cops who couldn't care less. Lets just say I did my fair share of lane splitting

After grabbing some deep dish pizza at Ginos East I thought I would head home at 4 and beat traffic....big mistake! I was riding through gridlock on I-90W. I rode 90% of the time in 1st gear, and my clutch hand still aches! All in all it was a fantastic afternoon! I will definetly go next year...if I am living downtown that is haha!

went down there today, pretty cool! Someone mentioned that there was a bar that all of the riders were going to tonight at Lincoln and Ashland w/ $4 you call-it's.

Anyone know what that place was called?

Gus and I went down there. It was a good time. I love how all the ladies portray the 50's style get up. Sexy.
