Any Royal Enfield Dealers?

My sister is going to take the MSF class next year and is dead set on getting a vintage-themed modern bike. Based on her input, a Royal Enfield seems to be exactly what she is looking for. I have been trying to find a dealer that sells them around the area/state/WIsconsin, but I am hitting a brick wall. I believe that someone told me that some harley dealers carry them. Anyone know of a place that has them? Thanks in advance peepz!

The new trumpets look just like the bikes from the 60's. A bike with a warranty with old school looks. Or walk around Gus's garage and let her shop. He seems to have a little bit of everything.

Dave, the Trumpets do look sexy. They are a bit pricier, but it looks like if the Royal Enfield has troubles, I am the one who has to do the servicing.

The India-Enfields are nice bikes. However, they are maintainence intensive to achieve reliability compared to bikes made in Japan or Europe. They are down on power and basically are exactly what they appear to be...a brand new 1956 motorcycle with a few modern tech parts thrown on that are reproduction made in India (like the "Mikuni" carbs). I'd consider owning one for shits & giggles or a pit bike, but not as a daily rider.

The Triumphs on the other hand offer the look she is after with stone reliability and a dealer network that actually has trained service technicians and stock spares!
Used is a way in that will save a few bucks...Used Triumphs are around at good prices...or a "vintage" Japanese bike. Anything from the Big 4....There's Hondas, Yamahas and Suzukis going back into the '70's that can be had for a song if you shop.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

If you want to anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal all one must do is tell the truth!

Top speed of 55mph, I wouldn't buy an Enfield for a first bike.

I'm interested in that guy's bike, let me know what the specs are on the bike and what he's asking.

i take it cause he is a big guy on a little bike well he has 8 others to choose from so he has several choices... he is usually on his harley, we have blacked it all out and done a ton of work to it.... that is also his chop we did in the back round.
