The Brain Is Wacky - How....

...do I wake up and begin my day by catching myself singing this song? - I have no listened to Elton in probably over 20 years - I got this ALBUM (yes, Vinyl) when I was a kid for like my 5th B Day or some shit when we had an exchange student living with us for 4 months from Prague - He gave me the album (mind you, I was 5) and told me that if I listened to this music, I would be the coolest kid in kindergarten - I listened to it night and day

How does this tune all of a sudden 20 years later come back into the noggin? - How???

Anyone ever have this kind of shit happen to them?

Chain of memories. You probably smelled, heard, or thought of something that started a chain reaction of memories that got stuck on that song.

For some reason, smell is our strongest memory, and that's usually what does it for me.

Hmm - Maybe - I was waking up staring out the window & drinking coffee while watching the sun come up over the Skyline and I caught myself singing "Turn around and say, Good Morning to the night"

I remember it like it was fucking yesterday - Sitting Cross Legged in the middle of the bedroom I shared with my Older Bro listening to this over and over - Found out later that my Bros and Sis' would get high high high and then listen to records - They would always sit me down with them and explain the music to me - They laugh about it know - I still remember my introduction to ELP & Deep Purple - My One Bro (RIP) told me he was tripping on schrooms when we listened to "Hoedown" by ELP - I wanna be a kid again when all the music was new

That reminds me now.....For Anthony

Dude, Elton John - Amoreena

One of my favorites man...the opening tune on Dog Day Afternoon, and frickin' classic.

Just frickin' amazing. That whole Madman Across the Water album rocks too.

Oh and now, I have progressed into Deep Purple - I use to fucking go nuts for Ian and the boys

And been goin gonzo with these guys already this morning and it's not even 10am

Holy good lord Bug. With Deep Purple, you've now stepped with both feet into my world. The Burn album with David Coverdale is a FUCKING KILLER!

House of Blue Light was my first ever album, and I've known must every Blackmore solo by heart since I was 10.

We need to get shitfaced to Deep Purple soon, no cuddling though. I have limits, Ed.

When I was in first or second grade we had a student music teacher come in and
teach us three songs...... I still remember all three like it was yesterday.

Dude, the Burn album kicks ass...and Coverdale was only there for that album I think. Ian Gillan returned to the band to continue kicking ass.

Have you ever dug Rainbow? Ritchie's band when he left DP with Ronnie James Deo? Good stuff.

..and finally, 4 interesting facts about Blackmore:

1. He quit rock music to chase his roots, as a classical guitarist. Think the King's court in 1578. ...and he's amazing.

2. He had stage fright, really bad...had to get lit to perform most times.

3. He was a professional level (talent) soccer player.

4. He sometimes played with an enormous pick...like 3" x 3" triangle.

Hahahaha - In the early 70s Sir Elton was bangin Twiggy and a few other Models of the day - He did not switch teams till well into the 80s - Regardless if he cums, stays. lays or prays, he and Bernie Taupin as a musical pair were sheer genius

He was on "Inside The Actors Studio" and he mentioned that Bernie would show up at his house, hand him Lyrics and then sit for Tea with Elton's parents = Elton the Bender would go into the other room where the Piano was for 20 mins or so and come back with a finished song - They made over 50 songs that way

Dude was the Man in the 70s - Then he found Dick........
