SOOOO Need To RIP My CDs

So tonight after catching up on GP, Moto2 and WSS from last week, I decided to go thru my CDs and look for something I forgot I had - BA'AM - Love when a disc can take me back - Found a Home Made CD for '00 when I was in Mykonos - We got to know a DJ and he burned us a copy of his Sun Night set - Ananda Project, Kaskade, Bent, Delirium, etc etc - Well, I found it and realized I have soooooooo much great music that I need to get onto Digi Format, like this disc - I need to take a weekend and dedicate myself to it

it starts out with "Lounged" versions of these tunes - I am trying hard to find the actual remixes that I have - Shazam just tells you the OG Artist and seeing as it is a mix, on the CD it registers as 1, 45 mins long song but it is made of like 10 songs mixed together for one - GOD DAMN I lost my mind on this trip - Mykonos in June is insane - Those fucking Euros get nuts

Here are the 1st 3 tracks - Never mind the vids - Try and imagine these 3 intertwined into 1 - Man I miss the Deep Soulful House Days

Cold - HAHAHA - Sorry - That was the best sounding vid I could find - That is Ananda Project "Falling For You" and the mix I have is prob the best of the entire CD - Just have no idea who mixed it, what the cats name was or anything - Caught his set on a Sunday Night - Told him we liked it - Met he and his girl and her friends the next day for Drinks and he handed me a CD that said "Mykonos '00" and said, "My Set last Night, You Like? - For you take to America"

Oh and that is a remix of the OG bent Song, "Always" - Tons of remixes of that song

It's a great band, I was going through autoplay and it sounded great... the cold seemed kinda boring as far as beats go, I also like the vocals from Bent

I have been to more Trance & Electronic DJ shows around the world for the past 10 years and have never seen anything but a Laptop????

Now, I'll give you old school House and Rap DJs still scratching on Vinyl but if you see any trance/electronic/etc etc DJ show up for a show, it is a Laptop, mix board and that's about it....

Vinyl is like Vintage Bike racing - AWESOME to see but just a bitch to make work

My girl and one of my boys in downtown use laptop and vinyl for electronica, but they're more of Electronica + house, so they have a nice beat in the back and then scratch some good music in the forefront... a lot of other dj's use their laptops mainly for the beats and then scratch vocals.

I'll be honest, I prefer old school music, the new tunes all have the same tone

My favs go back to Orbital, Underworld, Fluke... etc and Electronica/Industrial cross overs like Aphex Twin, although sometimes I get annoyed at the off beat and can only take so much of that ... then the solid Industrial comes out so I can bang out the angst... or ... someone. lol

PS - Im diggin' the Bent tune, Im always fond to female vocalists who have that "butterfly" voice as an accessory to the music... but never the primary of the piece.

right on, but industrial is a specific taste at specific times, just like rock, metal, heavy metal etc... Orbital for sure is one of my fav off your list

There are only about 1,743 tracks that I could lay down for you that fit that genre - Kerosene is taking about Jan Johnston and yes, teisto brought her up - BT used he a lot too

Now with female stuff, I tend to sway more to the Latin style of things like all the Miguel Miggs stuff from Naked Music, Nude Dimensions & Blue6 labels - Cartoon Boob - Sorry - The Label Name speaks for itself (I have TONS of this music, went thru a phase for a while)

If you like that style, hunt down one of the 12 million versions of this track - The Chill Version & Afterlife version are awesome - A little House mixed with the 6 string

I was in Ibiza (Space) in 2001 when this track came out and it was played EVERYWHERE

I was lucky to see underworld in show. ....sooooooo long ago man I think it was 96 at the Metro. Love intimate shows! That one was wicked too. Fog, laser, video, Cyborg esque costumes.

Underworld is a bit mellow for me, don't get me wrong, when cruising somewhere in the boonies, it's a great band to just ride/drive and listen to, but clubbing not so much.

I don't get it. Are you supposed to sit there and listen to the last 18 minutes of the track after you're done
