Before They Sold Out

Funny to see how some bands were "Hard(er) Core" and then made some $$ and got Soft - Classic examples below

Debut Album for SR:

When Billy Joe was a Punk (released only on Vinyl & Cassette - No CDs at this time)

And when they were just "Blink" (Album Cover is Wrong)

Sad when bands change for the $$ and stop playing what got them to the gig in the first place - Blink is HUGE for this

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

Haha, yeah dude Sugar Ray might be the biggest sell out of all time...and few know anything about it

As for Green Day though, I never thought they really "sold out". Not their fault that the music attracted a bunch of blue haired, boot wearing wannabes...I still dig those cats.

Bad Religion is one of the greatest bands of all time - I am still a Green Day fan but you listen to this then listen to something like "Time OF Your Life" and you just go, ......huh?

Meh, look at Henry Rollins - They approached him with Black Flag and he said no - Even when he went solo, he said no - In fact, here is Rollins Solo...(give it a second or 30)

and they also tried NiN which is why Hone Boy dropped off the face of the earth

Hell, here is the Biggest Sell out of this past Century - Yes, getting paid, I get that, but at what price does it go from "Creative Entertainment" and 'Expression" to "a Job"

God I loved these Wankahs growing up, then, after "Unforgettable Fire" when they got sober, they got weak

Early Wankahs...(when they WERE U2)

They do, syphilitic donkey balls, to be more precise. Right next to U2. It's a tag team effort.

That hurts my feelings, Edward.

If that gets you all aggressive-like, what about real hardcore stuff?

Awww, only you and Mao have ever called me Edward - Come 'er and give me a cuddle and I'll tickle your ear, you know, that one way you like ever so much

As for your Death Metal, not my thing baby - I think the "Hardest" I ever got was like S.O.D - Ya gotta remember homie, I am 126 years old - To me, "Metal" is Black Sabbath & Iron Maiden - For those who know not of the Oz man & "Eddie", I give you some of the greatest music ever played

Billy Joe is too good of a song writer for straight up Punk. *that* is what got Green Day out of the mosh of punk bands all doing and sounding the same. It's not punk anymore if everyone is doing it...

I don't really consider 3 cord masters "good song writing" but I agree that he got out of it as it was becoming "mainstream" - Some what why Cobain off'ed himself - Hearing your tune in a "Coffee Ad" can fuck ya up I guess

hey bug.. kid rock would never sell out..

seriously though, i would sell out in a heartbeat. pay me millions and i'll tell you how putting a tampax in your asshole is the best thing since sliced bread. everyman has his price.

as for henry rollins, ok if you say he hasn't sold out power power to him, there always has to be exceptions, i'm sure there are other hard core bands out there who never sold out also, you just dont know there name cause they never sold out..

side note, henry rollins is still all sorts of bad ass in my book, he was in Sons of Anarchy with "I kill N*ggers" tattoo'd on his chest. i dont know if you could even pay me enough to play a role on TV with that on my chest.
