The Age Old Battle - Lies vs AFD

F You Cookers, I still say "Lies" - YES, AFD was an awesome break out byt it did not have the depth of "Lies" - A bit more racists, yes, but also more depth...

Not my words here, just like the song

And possibly some of the best lyrics ever sang

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

It's a good album, it's not as good as Appetite. But honestly, what is?

Lies: According to the RIAA, the EP has sold over five million copies only in the United States. It was nominated for a grammy.

Appetite: As of September 2008, the album has been certified 18 times platinum by the RIAA, accumulating worldwide sales in excess of 28 million as of October 2008. The album is the best-selling debut album of all-time worldwide, beating Boston's debut album Boston, which has gone 17x platinum.

If you are going to go by sales figures, Back in Black and Thriller are better. LOL!

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

I'd say that Thriller is a better pop album and Back in Black is a better rock album, but Appetite is a hard rock album.

Is Bon Jovi hard rock? Seriously AC/DC is hard rock too, I was just messing with you. But for a debut album you have to admit those are some serious numbers.

I don't know. Defining that is subjective.

Beyond serious. There is no question it is the best selling debut album ever. Numbers don't lie (pun intended).
