New Itunes..DRM Free?

http://www.macrumors.com/2009/01/06/...-itunes-store/

Ok for some reason I don't get this. If you want to upgrade your library for .30 cents a song, but if you already bought it from Itunes, why do we have to pay again?

more like...you're paying for music and they would be DRM protected??!

I thought that's the coding on them that doesn't allow you to transfer/burn music

don't be such a smart ass. you still pay for it but you are not limited to using it on one device or machine now. you can load the music on to your phone, mp3 player, multiple computers, external hard drive... etc.

man after i just spent 30$ on an app to strip the DRM off. ;(

talk about a fail.

Willard: When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle.

Might not be an epic fail.

Assuming the app works well, you could still buy the songs with DRM for $.99 instead of $1.29 and break even after 100 songs.

Even cheaper, burn to an image instead of cd-rw, than mount the image as cd, followed by an mp3 rip. Done. Free.

Get of your high horse. We're talking about paying 30 cents per song that you already own to finally get it un-DRM'd. You already payed for the fucking song! So I should pay extra money, for the songs already bought, so that I can finally put music I bought on an mp3 player other than iPod? Fuck them.

Exactly, that's my reason why I won't go iTunes. Plus I'm old school and still like actual CDs (not that I buy any anymore).

Why is it so wrong to have integrity and play by the rules?

They did, that is why they addressed copyright laws in the Constitution.
