I know country. Ok not really but they used to play this song at Cadillac ranch every Thursday.

Haha, that's like the poster child for country music in any bar that thinks it's country. I remember high school days screaming our ears off to that song drunk down by the river...good times good times..now Garth Brooks has gone all religious.

Actually Bro - To dive deeper into your earlier remark about music and drugs and such - The stuff I like is not Techno - It is Primarily Trance, Electronic and House or even Deep House - Not much for the Techno or even Drum and Base

I spent a Summer workin on a horse farm in Arkansas when I was 13 and learned to dig Country - Alabama, Hank Sr, etc etc - I dig just about all music as it each has its own vibe and feel

For me, this is Country

What? Sounds technoish enough for me.Trance pretty much is techno. Google techno trance. I did, it all comes back to same categories essentially. City slick. Just kidding.
Alabama is rock N roll country. THIS is true "outlaw" country.

No worries mate - Common actually - There is a difference which I would be more than happy to explain sometime for you - If I get the energy, I will start a thread with an example of each and if you listen with an open mind and ear and know what to listen for, you can tell the difference - Hick!

I've seen some of the most funny drunk dancing at parties when "trance" or "techno" music comes on. Good stuff.
