Brembo master/newer calipers, class?

So I've got a brembo master cylinder and 2007 calipers on my 2006 zx6r, am I still eligible for SS or does that put me in SB?

I believe you're good for SS. I've always tossed the idea around but never pulled the trigger on one.

Shit, Shaugdog's got an AMA spec motor and he could've raced in the MWSS race if he wanted to. He raced in the ULSS (or is it HWSS?) race with no problem.

So even though teh calipers are OEM zx6r calipers, because they are from a different year they are no good?

It's a gray area. I've often wondered the same thing. But I think the way it is, that is illegal.

Otherwise why would running stock GSXR forks on an SV put you in Superbike Class? Because they are better.

OEM parts from the same model of different years, I'd imagine is ok. Mixing the best parts of other manufacturers, not so.

Well they are from the same model bike, just a year newer, so if my bike was newer it would have these calipers and be legal... soooo I don't think it's much of an advantage, but the rules don't specify really so i donno . Maybe I'll just do superbike to be safe. Is there an "official" place you can ask questions before the event?

i don't know the kawi model progression like the R6, but if i'm understanding you correctly, they're probably the same part number meaning it's perfectly fine.

As long as they aren't also using larger diameter rotors, no one will care. I forgot you rode one of those other brands

You could ask the question on the CCS forums. But you'll probably get 10 conflicting answers.

If they're not fancy after market mono blocks, just run them. No one gives a darn.

Both, 2007 was the next generation and the calipers are a different brand.
