CCS BHF 6/30-7/1 Roll Call

I'll be there to bring up the rear.

First time back since last July on a new to me bike that I've never ridden before. I'm kinda skeered.

You'll be fine.

First time I ever rode a 125 was in a race. Track was wet and the bike had 3 year old slicks on it, and it was still the most fun I've ever had on a motorcycle. The ladies of (Fem)Moto3 will go easy on you.

No kidding. I can't believe how bad it got from May 20th to June 13th. Rumor is they are re-patching right after the CCS races. Anyone have inside info?

I'll be there with my new boat repair kit/rattle can paintjob.

No inside info other than I was told the same thing by track employees. I was going to try the LCR school, and signed up, but found out yesterday that I have to work.

The best decision I ever made....

2 races and a half ass Practice session and the DOTs are done....
( although the Blue and Blue setup seems to last longer than Blue and Green...)
VS
GTO,2xULSBK,2xULGP all Practice sessions and than the Practice-day the following round....

And for my participation.... My gears are in shipping and pending nobody else at my dealer falls sick next week, should have the white bike back, if not I guess I need to sport the Street bike...

They aren't that fancy. Running the Pirelli SB pro track day compound. Durability is a huge plus with these. At the rate they're wearing I should be able to pass these down to my kids and probably their kids as well.

Moto3 (125GP)
Ultra Lightweight Superbike
Lightweight GP
GTLights

I'm not sure about Lightweight Superbike, but I don't think you'd want to enter that anyway. Also, Moto3 and Ultralight Superbike are sometimes combined to its a waste of money to sign up to do both, so check the schedule first.

Although I heard they were repaving it before the CCS event. Dunno. Its still ALOT better than it used to be back in pre 2001.

Let me get this straight, you are getting a GTO, 4 sprints, 4 practice sessions, plus another day (7 Sessions) out of the Superbike rear? That's pretty f'ing good for a 1000.

Have you had any wear/tearing issues?

Now that you say it... that is a lot. I get new tires before the first race and do all races on one...
than I leave it on for the next practice day, and the morning practice before the race ( ok sometimes I just only do one...).

I believe the TC helps with the wear, but than everyone always told me that I would be easy on the tires.
( I usually don't see the TC really working until the afternoon, when I most likely get tires and don't come off the bike as much... )

With the slicks I didn't get any grip / wear issues yet. the DOT, on the other hand was shoot in topeka mid-race in the second SS. ( Sat. SS + Practice + Son. SS)

I'm running a Soft Combo on the street right now, and the tire looks fabulous. All the other take off's I used to run on the street had cold tear after a few nights out....

Out until the track is fixed. ESP with 2 car events this past week and pridmore on Monday.

On the slicks, they wear forever!! I've got a rear with 8 days on it including some Putnam. The front seems never ending but I change it anyhow. I will be at grattan learning some new scenery.
