CCS at BHF Race Report

I got 2nd in Expert Lightweight GP and turned a fast lap of 1:15.68. First of all the 2 smokes so it was a good weekend although I should've won the bitch.

Congrats to Gu-meister for turning his best lap this past weekend.

That was fun as hell, my best race again was Supertwins, I was actually in 3rd battling for 2nd for a while until I got mugged by a couple of guys and then we hit traffic and I could only repass one of them for a 4th place finish. Great time! Managed my personal best of 1:20.63 on the SV but I still think I could have done better if I rode a little smarter and harder. 19's next time for sure....

eh? I turned faster laps last year when I was fat than the 15.68 I turned yesterday. I would've been into the 14's if slidestone had a better front tire for us stupidass club racers.

Let me tell you the story. Into turn 1 it was Ed Key, Gary Palmer, Johnny Moore, me, and Mark Stiles. Wasted 1.5 laps trying to get around Johnny Moore and finally went around the outside of him in turn 5. Then I set after Gary Palmer who was about 4 seconds ahead of me. Took about 4 laps to narrow it down to about .5 seconds. Ed is about 2 seconds in front of Gary. Then I start losing my front in turn 7 every lap and have to slow it down to mid 16's so I don't crash. We come around for Lap 7 and Ed blows his motor as we're entering the bus stop. All in all.. Palmer beat me by about 1.5 bike lengths at the flag.

The rear is awesome. I get almost no feel out of the fronts. The slide is pretty predictable but no front wheel slide is confidence inspiring.

Sweet Brian, I thought you were in the 16's last year. Must not have been paying that close of attentions since you were a white plate last year and I stayed AM.

Tom.. were you able to make it out there?

on another note... Andy Feuersthaler brings Ben Thompson(ex Red Star Wera endurance racer) to BHF. Turns a 1:10.1 on 2 year old dunlops and smokes the entire expert unlimited GP field and it's his very first time there. It just goes to show what a fast guy is capable of. No one trick pony there. Wait till the wegmen weekend when all the professional contingency chasers show up. BHF will have a new track record this September boys and girls.

It happens because they are so obsessd with racing that they forget about there significant other and there family and friends. All they think about is racing. I have heard of many racers having family problems because they are so obsessed. I plan to never let that happen. Racing IS NOT the most important thing. It's fun, but not first priority.
