CCS races

Are they fun to watch for the non-rider? I'm thinking of going to Blackhawk with the gf this weekend to check it out. Also, are these events free?

The gate fee at BHF is $25 on Sat for both days, and $15 on Sunday.

This weekend is going to be red flag fund auction going on on Saturday evening.

Sometimes there's a concert etc.

There should be people racing that you know either from here or from track days.

WOW! so much hostility.
This weekend is the end of the season for CCS Midwest. Double points are awarded.
Yes, $25 for the weekend, yet $15 for Sunday only.
From what I've heard, we might see Eric Buell on stage again Saturday nite. Just a rumor.

$25 per person on Saturday, includes camping and gate fee for Sunday. The Red Flag Fund Auction is happening Saturday night, and is a benefit for the fund which assists injured racers.

Unless you're really interested in the auction, you're better off coming on Sunday for $15 per person.

Sort of related, there was a whole long discussion on the CCS board about whether or not the gate fee is detrimental to number of spectators. People were actually arguing that the gate fee doesn't influence anything. I think spectators should get in for $5, but hey, what do I know.

hahahahha what a fricken pain in the ass that was. Then on top of it my bike was getting hot. I forgot to come back and tell ya Butch I was full throttle around the whole track on the warm up lap and just made it in time to start the race. Which I died the bike out at the start. I think God was telling me I didn't need to run that race. LOL

I agree...boring. If you're going bring the GSXR to make it fuN!

Maybe for you Pat a few corners for a few minutes will be kind of fun, but for your GF she will be bored out of her mind LOL If she loves you, she will just amuse you and smile when you say, "maaaan did you see how fast he took that corner?"

If you know a lot of people racing and you chat with peeps in the pits it is better. Otherwise $50 is a steep price for basically sitting at T4-5 for a few minutes :P
