Nexus,

Sure;

Rider Clinic = For riders of all levels, with instruction from Rick Breuer, Jason Damico, Leon Winfrey, Harry Wirth, Brian Hall, Shawn Hill, and special guest, Jason Farrell. Classroom sessions, Tire Seminar, lunch, DVD are included.

These instructors, some AMA, CCS and current BFR race champs will work with you all day on areas of focus determined in part by you. Instructor to student ratio always 1:3 or better.

Advance Group = For advance track day riders, no instruction, just a general track day for ADVANCE Group Riders who have participated in Motovid.com events, lunch and DVD not included.

we have 2 slots remaining in the Rider Clinics and a dozen ADVANCE Group slots remaining.

Hope to see you out on track,

So if we are a licensed racer we pay 120 and ride in the advanced group? Is this a 2 or 3 session track day?

So does the Riders Clinic ride with the Learning Curves people? Now I am totally confused on what we actually purchase when we buy a Riders Clinic day. From the wording it seems like the Riders Clinic people have their own session, not a shared one with the LCR riders.

When it comes to bike I only know "ride"...I suck at oil changes and mechanicals LOL :P

But seriously I am sure Germany and I will get a decent amount of track time, but Motovid does not clearly state that the track time is "shared" with the LCR students. I am sure they do not have bad intentions, but if it is shared does that mean the instructors are also shared between both? If so why can't we pop in the classroom sessions, take the license test, and do the mock race?

This all goes back to my statement about why can't Motovid and some group like LCR merge to offer a more complete day for getting your CCS licese. LCR is $200 and you barely run 3 sessions. Sure you get your license, but heck they don't even prorate the LCR fee even though CCS prorates the license cost throughout the year. Also with LCR you really are not getting much track time to learn anything. What you are getting is classroom time for rules, regs, flags, and a mock race. Now if you can combine that with a Riders Clinic day to get more actual track session then I think the LCR $200 is more appealing.

Sorry just my on that subject. flame on if anyone wants to because I'm confused anyway LOL

Bfr: Sat. Aug. 21 update

All,

Everyone should get quite a bit of track time on Sat., looks like 8-9 sessions for the day for all run groups (except LCR, different schedule).

The combined Track Championship Rider Clinic(s), Test & Tune with Advance Group Invitational day will run similar to Motovid.com events, 4 sessions in the a.m and 4-5 in the afternoon with an hour lunch. There will be a mock race @ 5:30p for the LCR students. Although we start earlier and end later.

SCHEDULE

7:00 am gate - registration - tech inspection

7:30 am riders meeting - base of tower

8:00 am - 12:00p hot track

12:00p - 1:00p LUNCH

1:00p - 5:30p hot track

5:30- 6:00p LCR Exhibition Race

6:00p track closed

--

ALL RIDER CLINIC GROUPS ARE SOLD OUT, HOWEVER, THERE ARE STILL ADVANCE GROUP INVITATIONAL SLOTS REMAINING (150.00)

http://www.motovid.com/catalog/produ...products_id=13

The LCR group will be sequestered to its own private area for its classroom time, separate from Rider Clinic Race group class & instruction. The only thing it shares with the Rider Clinics is shared track time for a few sessions to complete its exercises. The entire LCR class is 5 students, hardly be noticed.

Advance Invitational Track Day Group will be run exactly as a Motovid.com session, 6 ft. passing rule, don't take another riders line. Brian Hall and his group of RACE Students may join this group based on grids. Do not expect more than 30 riders in ANY group session.

Please understand, any consolidation, fluid schedule has been done to accommodate ALL RIDERS and RACERS on Sat. with SAFETY as a prerequisite.

Remember, Sat. in essence, was removed from the track schedule for motorcycles @ BFR (CCS reduced 2 day event = 1), BFR/Motovid.com put it back on in the only way we could; using our Rider Clinic(s) and Track Day(s) [ advance invitational ] activities to prop up the Race Practice and pay the bills (at least keep the lights on).

The LCR CCS Licensing Clinic (CCS needs more racers!) and its students on Sat. were combined due to the change from CCS schedule. This action keeps the combined run group which LCR would run to less than 30 riders and allows for CCS licensing activities to continue. This should not adversely affect anyone's riding.

We truly appreciate ALL your continued support, participation in our varying motorcycle events @ Blackhawk Farms Raceway.

I suspect there will be some changes next year (most likely) that may address some of the items Nexus and others in the track day, riding clinic, and club road racing market have pointed out. Something MUST BE DONE to bring the grids back and reduce the complexity (confusion) for those trying to get into the sport.

Motovid.com and Blackhawk Farms Raceway will always continue to improve, modify its programs to meet the needs, and exceed the expectations of its customers. If that means we should consider new features, programs, and further consolidation such as LICENSING within our Rider Clinics as a joint between LCR/Motovid.com/BFR so be it.

At the moment, we are simply trying to keep this whole 2_wheel thing together and healthy @ BFR to successfully complete the 2010 schedule.

We have already begun considerations for 2011 to make the program bigger, better, stronger and faster! Motovid.com and BFR are dedicated to the cause and listening to the peeps!

Stay tuned, new stuff on the horizon!

see everyone sat.

Something like that would be awesome! If it were in place today I would be signing up for races on Sunday instead of this track day Either way it will be a blast Saturday.
