See ya'll in a few months!!

There are several new options this year for signing up for a track day (I will add this info to the sticky thread as well)

1. Contact Motovid's Dealership Partners for more details on preferred pricing or stop in for a chance at a free track day, certain restrictions apply.

When signing up in person at one of the below dealerships the rate for a track day is $150 and the rate for a Riders Clinic is $225.
Wen calling one of the dealerships the rate is $160

2012 Blackhawk Farms Raceway - Motovid.com Exclusive Dealership Partners
Southeast Sales Corp
Kawasaki, KTM, Honda, Suzuki
6930 North 76th Street
Milwaukee, WI 53223
Cntact: John Erdmann (414) 463-2540
http://www.southeastsales.com
Give them the code (Craig "Kegger") when you visit or call to sign up!

Ducati Milwaukee
2204 Silvernail Rd
Pewaukee, WI 53072
Contact: Joe Meinerz (262) 408-5660
http://www.motounion.net
Give them the code (Craig "Kegger") when you visit or call to sign up!

If you are interested in the JOS Motorsports events you can contact the dealerships above to sign up!

2. You can still sign up online at www.motovid.com, the rate online is $195
for a track day and $250 for a Riders clinic Date

The Track Photogrpaher is Nick from Red Line Photo, he will post all pictures
of every event to his website as in the past but if you want pictures see him in the morning before the track day starts so you can sign up and tell him what kind of bike you have!

For $30 (cash, check, paypal, Visa & Mastercard accepted) you will receive all of your pictures on a disc. If you bring a flash drive to the track the cost is $25. You will get approximately 30 images per day, and if you've been there before you know he hits almost every corner!

He is running a special this year, this is great for those that do more than 6
Motovid events. For $150 you can buy pictures for the entire season (this does NOT include the JOS Motorsport events)
For $200 you can add the 5 JOS Motorsport days.

You can contact Nick at 630.880.2379 or [email protected] with any questions!

Stay tuned and check the forums for events throughout the year that Motovid will attend/sponsor, etc!

As always you can contact me too if you have any questions

I'm pondering doing my first track day ever at the riders clinic on 5/18.

Is there tech help at the track? regarding suspension I need to set sag on my bike.

Anyone going that I can tag along with? I'd be happy to pay for gas.

thanks

If you don't make it to this Friday's Rider Clinic, you can always come to the next track day on the 30th.

https://www.chicagolandsportbikes.com...d.php?t=119228

With this being your first track day you will receive a lot of guidance.
I hope you are able to find a ride up there!

I already know the feeling... I've been at the track a few times per year with

my car since 2004.

@ $500.00 per rear tire that credit card has seen some dents.

Chad,
Thank you. I'll probably be out again on the 27th or 30th. My work schedule is such that I usually don't know til last minute. I live in Addison.

Pilot,
I need a suit. I'll rent one this time out and get a 2-piece for the next one

Cheers

So... After selling my 1993 gsxr-750 in 1996 I did not ride again until may of 2011 when my s1000rr came in. I put about 1000 miles on the bike last year
riding by myself or with some groups here and there. Streets & cow roads; nothing challenging.

By the end of the season it became abhorrently clear that I was in desperate need of help. My chickens could be more accurately described as legs or quarters... not strips. By no means was I an unsafe or incapable rider, but I did lack both confidence, proper technique and the situational opportunity to better myself. During the winter months I bought books, videos and joined forums to educate myself and begin an effort to improve my skills. That was how i found CLSB. Proper technique has to be taught and then honed. Taking Sunshine's suggestion I registered for Motovid's rider clinic (sport 101). She also said I could look for her if I need help. With my gear packed, bike loaded on the U-haul ($14.95 by the way, just sayin) and ego securely stowed and left at home I was off to BFR.

Arriving at BFR was intimidating. It was my first time there and it took me a while to get situated, signed-in and to procure my rented leathers. Seeing all the tents and racebikes gave me pause and second thoughts. However, I met my instructor Harry, my coaches Mar, Kim and one other who's name escapes me at the moment. During the 1st 5 minutes of the morning's rider meeting/class it was clear that my decision to register was sound and I was where I needed to be for my goals to be achieved. After the meeting Sunshine and Kim immediately walked over to my truck and helped get me and my bike ready for tech. Who does that?

The first session we learned the track, the second was a no brakes drill. After that I got my suspension and tires setup ( thank you Germany ). The wealth of knowledge, experience and wisdom that Harry has on tap goes unmatched. The coaching, assistance, enthusiasm and patience shown by the CR's was in-exhaustable ( especially Sunshine ). Everyone I encountered from patron to staff were both positive and helpful. I never encountered any negativity or felt unwelcome or made uncomfortable. After the third session, I was able to conquer my perplexing poultry problem .

In short, the day was a complete success. My expectations were exceeded. I can not express my gratitude enough to my instructor and CR's.
Thank you Harry. Thank you Mar. Thank you Kim.

Sunshine, sorry for buzzing you at turn one... it came up pretty fast.

Sorry, the post is long but the appreciation I need to express is deep.

You can now go about your business.

Dan

Dan, I'm ecstatic that your experience was beyond your expectations! I can't express how happy this makes me. I was more than willing and happy to assist you in making sure your day was a complete success! I enjoyed being your instructor and guiding and following you around the track. You did awesome and I am very proud of you! It's people like you that make me love my job even more! Being able to share my passion and knowledge with others is pure satisfaction for me and puts a big smile on my face! I truly look forward to seeing you back on the track very soon!

Oh, and no worries for the T1 "buzz". Your 1000 monster is clearly A LOT more powerful and faster than my 600. I'm just glad I was able to pass you long enough on the front straight to give you the BIGGEST THUMBS UP I could dish out, as it was much deserved.

Pictures to be posted soon

* FYI, the other instructor was Jason
