Post BHF 7.22.09

FANFUKKINTABULOUS DAY!!!

My best day at Blackhawk ever

Some people gave me some tips and pointers and I applied them today......and they made me a bit faster.......thanks Kim and Eddie I still have stuff to work on as always but some more things just clicked today.

I was DEFINITELY taking turn 1 and 7 much faster than I have in the past and I was dragging knee everywhere!

Thanks to all the CR's as usual....amazing job!!

The track was wet in the morning but it dried up quick...and boy was it humid and sticky out today!

The session where all of us in I went out as a group was the most fun I have had on a track...I was actually keeping up for the most part And DAMN we got TONS of video...so I will try to get to it tomorrow....4 of us were running camera's all day long here and there!

Thanks Chris for letting me borrow your camera

Thanks Dean for letting me borrow the laptimer ....I'm gonna look at the videos and see if I can figure out some laptimes...I only ran it for one session.....and it wasn't my greatest session

I'm glad you finally got out there with us Demo....I kow you LOVED it

Pics and video coming!

I think the best part of the day was the 2 sessions where I had all you guys come out right behind me for the first lap them I let all of you pass me and i got a whole lap video fom the front and back of you guys. I had a blast doing it for u guys. It was a great day for the exception of the last 5 min of the day. I don't think I will be riding anytime soon anymore.

Im fine. The engine on the other hand doesnt sound so well. I dont have a chance to bring it in as I just left for vacation. So if anyone can help my bike is on my trailer at Demo's house and needs to be brought to Downforces shop or the Zone by midway. I will pay for the gas money.

I had a BLAST yesterday! Was great riding with everyone and hanging out. Nice to meet new people and see old friends.

I'm glad we all kept our heads in it and no mistakes that cost anyone.

Yea the sessions where Steve was able to get alot of us was cool.

Thanks Steve.

Btw I hope it's nothing major with the RR. Is it still under warranty?

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Thanks Brian...yeah we were watching the video and saw it lean a little....so everyone looked like they were really leaning in the turns....then it leaned over even more...can't really be sideways

I had a great time out there too, it was awesome hanging and riding everyone. This was my first "real" track day and my first day at BHF and I can tell you I'll be back there someday.

Click here for all my pictures from BHF 7/22/09. All the on track shots were from the end of the day, the last two sessions only so you may not see everyone.

Demo, great job out there! You're looking good in the shots.

Wow. totally great time.
-I showed Demo that I only have a queen sized air mattress in the trailer.
It was great working with ya on your first day.
-Bfly and I with the hand signals. I'm glad we know "dude, I don't have my CR shirt" and "flip flop, me front - you back"
-Steve backing it in to turn 6 from the right side of the track and the dam power wheelies. Dam you and your liter bike power.

I have to work on my camera mounting and aiming. 1 video turned out. The others when I mounted to my helmet all show the ground.

Now, Steve, you shoud've said something yesterday,

technically, i could bring your bike down to Chris on my way to Putnam. Demo would have to have someone there to help me put the bike on the back of the truck though....

Yes it was a great day. It felt good to get back on the track after a long layoff especially at blackhawk where it all started for me. Steve thanks for being a gracious host and taking care of the group on the track. Can't wait to see the video.
