Yes.

But know that the moving up part is up to your riding skills, ability to make good/safe decisions, ability to set up a pass, and your ability to hit every apex.

If you feel that you are ready for a bump evaluation, simply line up at the front of your group behind the first CR, and go for it. This will all be explained in the Beginners meeting.

Have fun and be safe out there.

I heard through the grapevine that there might be a demo and review of a certain new sportbike along with some magazines folks and high powered racer types there.

last BHF i did was 8/12. first session i did with Novice and felt that i was being held up. next session i grabbed a CR (forgot his name one with the pink helmet sry bro) asked him iif he can work with me and maybe get bumped up "I". He followed me around for that session and i got bumped into "I". just asked a CR and they will work with you. Guy was really cool all of them are.

i will try and make this one

i would like to make this but i am pretty sure my tires wont pass tech. but they still have plenty of street life and my cheap ass doesn't want to just swap em for new rubber cuz it wont be worth it to remount them again.

do most of u guys have more than one set of wheels to deal with this issue? to my understanding tires must have 70% tread left. my centers are prolly fine but my sides especially the left is way less.

only one more motovid day after this one for the season, im not sure what to do. maybe ill look into gettin another set of wheels as this will always be an issue i think.

black hawk is mostly rights nouseforaname. i was there for the last one and ran tirs with definately less than 70% life remaining. i think they word it backwards and its 30% left maybe.

theres a lot of people that wouldnt be running track if hey werent allowed to run tires with 70% or less life remaining i think

^^^ I have two sets of wheels -- one with street rubber and one with race rubber.

Gonna try and make this one pending job situation and if I can get a discount code (if you get my drift)

yeah i just dont want to head out there and not pass tech. i could bring tires and get them mounted track side im sure but i would much rather go prepared or not at all.

i have no idea what a set of rims for my 929 is going to cost. anyone give me a ballpark?

929 wheels for a full set with rotors should be 250-400.

dude, the 70% tread in *my* experience is not a factor. People already spend enough on tires. Especially if you have street tires, you should have plenty of meat on the sides. Use em! The worst that can happen will be you're told the tires are no good, so you buy some at the track for cheaper than a dealership anyway. My 02

not worried about the centers they got lots left. my sides are maybe a few sixteenths off the outside wear bars. thats what worries me. i can swap the wheels myself, but ive only done it once so it will take me some time at the track. would rather do it in my garage before i head out there.

here's a pic i had up for another thread. dont think i put any miles on since. yah or nay to pass tech.

It's not backwards. If they state 70%, then thats what their looking for. Every tire is inspected. There is no hard or fast rule. But if you have 70% then you should be ok. The Pirelli vendor is at these events.

Whether there are more lefts or rights has nothing to do with your tires. Your tires don't care that they turn left less then right when they're throwing you on your head. Especially at BHF. I want lots of grip in turns 2 and 4, both left handers. Turn 5, left hander, leaned over, wide open on the throttle. Definately want good rubber.

I should be there, pending money. Come by and say hi Samal.
