I finally watched the original all the way through last night, after 5 tries.

Still a maybe, I'd probably not go see it on opening night.

I wanted to re-watch the original because checking it out but Netflix pulled it off the list (since they re-vamping or whatever the movie) so I guess I'll wait for it on DVD. *shrug*

It looks okay in the previews but I was more excited about wanting to see HP7.

I'm looking forward to this.

The film makers actually gave Pixar a sneak preview of the movie earlier this year to get some tips/suggestions from people that *know* how to make you feel for an animated character. Then they went back and made some changes (or so I heard). That shows they really cared about making this work.

I'm going to be trying out some aftermarket optical grade 3d glasses rather than those two bit plastic ones they give you at the theater. Seeing Tangled in 3D recently showed me what huge leaps they've made in this technology.

So yes, I'm looking forward to Tron Legacy.

It's got Jeff Bridges, it must be good. I don't think the guy has been in a bad movie.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

I'd see it. I liked the first one. I've played the video game. If memory serves me... I think the last time I saw the original it was still in the theater. ( Damn I'm getting old).

I just picked up my glasses today. I've not tried them on yet, but the amber "anti glare" version of them looked good on the demo.

http://www.gunnars.com/gunnar_3D_collection.php

If you hit up Amazon, they also carry some cheap Chinese 3D glasses, as well as some new ones made by Poloriod that are more reasonably priced than the Gunnars I got. You want 3D glasses made with circular polarized lenses.

I tried to save myself some money by going to my optometrist and asking them to have the lab make me some circular polarized lenses on a frame of my choosing, and I was disappointed to find that nobody knew WTF circular polarized lenses were!! So I picked up a pair of the Gunnar.

Picked it up and watched it in blue-ray today and it was awesome. The special effects and how they made the virtual world in this movie was badass. Definatly a movie il watch again.

I just go around to watching this and I really enjoyed it. Considering what they had to work with I thought the movie was enjoyable. It was a 2 hour Daft Punk video.

I'm pretty sure the soundtrack is the single best album to listen to while working. Ever.

Getting to End of Line and then into Derezzed mid-album is quite motivating.

Ha, I consider it the single best album to listen to on the train to put me to sleep. It worked well in the movie but it's just too subdued normal listening.

/possible exception of derezzed

I think that's why it works so well for working music. I can write email, compose technical articles, troubleshoot stuff, whatever. Lately I've been wondering if I should start listening to classical music as well while working.
