Spartacus: Vengeance

All I have to say is i'm glad this new season is here. Definatly picks up where it left off. I am in suspense waiting to see episode 2 now. SO MUCH twists and turn in the season premiere I never saw coming.

It's definitely going to be good, too bad Andy Whitfield passed away, he played Spartacus well.

Really looking forward to this. Sadly, my TV viewing has been filled with catching up on Vampire Diaries (sad, I know), and a new show that I really like called Bomb Girls (may not be available in the US).

I LOVE this series.

I got hooked on Gods of the Arena, and then just finished watching Blood & Sand from OnDemand.

Other series that was excellent was the two seasons of ROME.

Looking forward to this season of Spartacus.

I was/am a big fan of both Spartacus series, really glad they came back

+1000 to Wink's thumbs-up of ROME!
To all that don't know, it's just like Spartacus (sex, violence, rock'n roll) without the "300" style special effects/blood splatter. There's plenty of violence and all the other good stuff. Story is mostly true and supposedly told as seen through one of Caesar's Centurian's eyes (and the writer of course). Did you know Julius Caesar cheesed Cleopatra? Good times as she was a drug addict.

ROME is a few years old and came out before Spartacus. Spartacus directors modeled after this and one-upped ROME. There is two editions of the ROME series (like SP) both available at Best Buy. Get both, you won't be diappointed. You also won't be able to watch just one episode per night!

ROME: Another BADASS series, too bad it's gone.

I just bought ROME on AppleTV instead. Far easier. Watched it on flights, at home, on laptop, iPad or iPhone... GREAT series.

Rome was an awesome series. I wish they had kept that one going. Deadwood was another great series that probably deserved a few more seasons.

I saw Spartacus last night.

The production value seems to have gone down, the writing is like 80% of what it was, and it looks like they are trying to make up for it with more gore.

So far, not feeling it I'm saddened to say. At least it's got a few familiar faces.

Yeah, I miss Andy. Not much can be done about that though.

At least episode two felt more on track to how the series originally was. It had grit, tension, intrigue and already seems to be building up to something.

Where the first episode had me feeling like they were making up for lack of substance with gore, this episode seemed right on.
