Attn Old Fugs - You Miss Rock & Roll?

Remember when you were a kid and you saved your allowance to ride your bike to the local record store where the clerks & owner knew your name and let you park your bike in the back storage room so it would not get stolen as you threw crumpled up bills and just enough change ($12.35 was the cost of my first new album in 1975....Double Album....Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti) that took you weeks to save and you peddled like hell to get home, peel that thin Saran Wrap type coving off and got that whiff of the Vinyl Smell, dropped the needle on the first tune and just wondered how the hell these sounds were made?

If you are like me and remember that shit like it was yesterday, check out the Dave Grohl Documentary on "Sound City" which was a recording studio in LA in the 70's - It had me motionless and speechless for one hour and 48 mins as it took me back to the raw power that rock and roll once was

I just found it on pay per view and probably the best thing I have seen on TV outside of the Hurricane Sandy Reliefe concert held in NYC - Just amazing

Been meaning to check it out. Heard all about it and some interviews on sirius radio from it. They were promoting it heavily for a while.

So pretty much the foo fighters became producers and a house band now for other artists to record. Pretty damn awesome story. So glad Dave bought that board and is carrying on the legacy.

I saw that on Palladia. I have to admit I was wondering, why is Jack White in this?
