question about chrome cast

hey, so i picked up a roku 2xd for dirt cheap off of woot.com. so thinking of cuttin the cable chord finally.

so here's my question though... google's chromecast seems to do the same thing, but you'd be able to stream content from websites and youtube, etc. so i should be able to stream the races from motogp.com to the tv, correct?

I don't use mines to its fullest. But all I do is watch YouTube on my chromecast.

I've surf the web via chrome on it as well.

Didn't try anything else.

You can stream a chrome browser window, so it should play motogp.com just like any other site.

Amazon has been having sales for $25ish recently. It's not the most powerful thing out there, but it's the best bang for the buck. And the potential for the future is pretty good.

With their recent purchase of "Nest" they will know and be able to market to you on HVAC, Light Bulbs, TV Viewership etc etc - Remember, everything Google does feeds back in some sort of way to Ad Revenue which is where they make all their money - I like what they do and can only imagine the next 5-10 years

They will have taken over the world in the next 5-10 years, mark my words. They will be in every market out there from internet, cell phone, tv, replace windows o/s and they will be great at all of it. Mark my words, they will do it.

Yep, it's already started... Just heard google is putting in hi-speed fiber optics in Austin as we speak.

If you have an Xbox you can use their "Smartglass" app on your phone, laptop or tablet to type and or use as a mouse. Plus Xbox has IE as an app so you should be able to view most anything on the web right on your TV. I use my iphone or my tablet w/ a bluetooth keyboard and it works pretty well.

Or you could simply get one of these and stream anything you to your TV from your PC.

I think they are available for $89 on Indiegogo till the 17th.
