Hmmm?

I was wondering if you could check my valve clearance adjust if needed and rebuild my clutch.Of course the oil should be changed after the clutch job.

Do it all the same day and if I could get a deal if I brought some pizza and beer?

Gus

I thought you were going to stop working on people's bikes because of shit like this.

Should we have a subforum where everyone complains about how work sucks and life is hard?

Check valve clearance and adjust if need be.

Clutch change. I think I am in need of one as the clutch does not engage till the very end and both adjustments are maxed out. Also the pressure in the lever does not feel strong and tight. Any thoughts on this.

Sync throttle bodies

Thanks

Any deals if I bring Beer and food

like a deal for food and beer while doing an 8+hr service the same day.Maybe I should pay you to work on your bike.
Your asking for a thousand dollars worth of service same day for some beer and pizza.

Good luck with the shops that charge $95. per hour and will have your bike two months.

I'm sure I sound like an ass but this is the tenth time a CLSB person has asked me to for favors and I can't fix your money troubles.

WOW....... I would like to know where I said do the work for free and wanted it done in a day...... The message says PRICE"S, I asked for a TIME FRAME and asked KEY WORD ASKED if it could be done in a day.. Was just a question not a demand. The Beer and food "Pizza is what you like I guess since I never said that" was a JOKE sorry you didn't get it. As for fixing my money problems where did that come from I clearly asked for a PRICE. Meaning that I am paying customer... I sent you another P.m. to this response hopefully you can read it correctly this time.... A better more professional response would of been " NO deals sorry and shoot the prices over instead of being a ass and then posting a thread about something you are were completely wrong about...

Dude, WTH!!! I was in line FIRST! My SV is still sitting in my garage waiting for you to figure out why it only runs on one cylinder!

And BTW, that bag of donuts I bought for you is just drying out in the trailer waiting for your slow butt!

C'mon man, when you gonna get this thing fixed?

A few things.

Fly-by-you needs to learn how to use a question mark. It looks like this guy= ? - When you ask a question in a sentence, it ends with that symbol.

Gus, unreasonable demands of other clients should have zero bearing on potential future work. You bringing that up will only hinder your business and make you look unprofessional.

He wasn't asking if you'd do it for pizza and beer, he asked if you'd cut him a deal if he supplied you with food/entertainment.

He also wasn't asking for it to be done in a day, he was asking if it was possible to be done in one day. There's a big difference between asking if a completion time is possible and making a demand.

Insinuating that he is having financial troubles, again bringing up the demands of other clients and finally posting this thread to vent your frustrations does nothing to help you out.

While juicy and possibly entertaining, there was no need to start this thread aside to embarrass someone who was looking to use your services. This isn't how people do business.

Here's an idea, just throwing it out there.

FNG- Hey Gus, my 10 year old bike runs/rides like shit. I was wondering if you could take a look at it and lemme know what's wrong and how much to fix?

Gus- No problem, I can get you in ______, _______, _____, or _____.

FNG- Cool! I'll let you know when I can get it over.

Have you ever taken a car to a mechanic? Have you ever told him what you wanted done or do you let him tell you what it needs?

Be a doctor, or be a patient. You can't be both. Gus does this as a HOBBY. It's not his business, it's not where he makes his living.

That's fine if it's not his full time gig. Still does not need to go the route he did. I was referred to him by other members so that's why I p.m. him.. If he is busy say "I'm to busy sorry".. Not start a thread to show he cant read and show how he will treat other people that will ask him for work done.

I'm an asshole that knows his way around a motorcycle.

Trust me:This at times makes me the easy target for people that are LOOKING for a cheep easy way to fix their bike.

Most of these people treat their motorcycles like PRIZED possessions and for a few bucks I should revolve my world around them.

Do any of you CLSB people know someone like that????

Sorry if I sometimes I make people think about how highly they value a material thing.

all that work could easily be done in an 8hr day. however, the engine has to be around room temp to correctly adjust or check the valve clearances. now, who has an 8hr day to burn?
