Good luck. I've done the same several times looking for parts locally. It seems like nobody stocks anything anymore, everything has to be special ordered.

This problem is chronic and will not go away until online discounted ordering does. Nobody in their right mind will stock anything that can be discounted online. I have a couple of people in here right now pissed because I don't have a size 39 boot in stock, but then asks me if they are the same price as online.

This problem is frustrating for a lot of people for sure. I'm not sure what to say when somebody who is actually a local brick and mortar shopper comes in to "shop" in the classic, outdated sense, and is surprised there isn't anywhere in a major metropolis like Chicago to do this. Buyers have made their choice with their dollars, and online is winning like Charlie Sheen. Soon there won't be anywhere left that stocks anything at all, everything will be drop shipped from the manufacturer.

^^Instant gratification problem right here. I didn't know it was you on the phone, but if it was after 3pm, it wouldn't ship out until tomorrow anyways. Yes I'm sure I can, depending on what brand pads you want and if that distributor drop ships, but it sure wouldn't be cheap. These pads fit a few other Kaw sportbikes too, maybe see if there will be any trackside vendor there that stocks pads. I know when CP was vending trackside we carried almost every bike made and raced.

Nothing is cheap these days. I am up at the ass crack of dawn. I will PM you my phone number, whatever vendor you recommend on the pads, call me and Ill give you a CC number.

Call them up and they will get them in next day. I got EBC pads and they are awesome. Run about $36 a set.

I mean seriously expensive. Only way to get a delivery in to you is to next day air Saturday delivery from a distributor, so I'm sure they would want an extra $50 just for shipping, which is ridiculous to me. I'm sure you can find them somewhere, just a lot of legwork on your part.

Somebody else though, possibly that orders thousands of dollars of stuff online and then needs something in a pinch, or something not worthy of mail ordering like a master link or the like, under the guise of "supporting his dealer"?
