We cleaned up and moved the wet carpet outside.About 20 minutes latter the the fire department goes driving past and stops at the neighbors house.

Seems she called them about smelling gas.

Well they came running up my driveway full uniform and all. I'm standing there with the low speed jet and a wire in my hand.

It ended well and they left with a smile and no fires.

I felt about 6 inches tall.

Moral of the story: set the carpet on fire before the neighbors can smell the gas.
