Carb sync
I want to clear this up.

If your buying a bike and it does not run well.The owner tells you it just needs a carb sync.WRONG

If the bike does not idle CARB SYNC WILL NOT FIX IT.

I would bet 90 % of bikes that need a carb sync the owner would never know.

First we fix the carb issue ( I always check the butterfly's for sync on the bench).If you have an off cyl. (as in low compression )My vacuum gauge will confirm this I will then adjust the sync to match the bad cyl.NO more than maybe 5%

If your carbs are so out of sync as to the bike not running right you have a bad cyl.




SO in the end remember carb sync is like cutting the fuzzy hair off your neck after a hair cut.

Only the finest part of the tune.

But... But... the previous owner was a mechanic.... he said all it needed was a carb sync. He would have done it, but he was working too much to have time for the bike. You must be wrong.
