Looking for a 1st Series Chevy Pickup

I'm looking into how much a 1st Series ~ 1955 3100 Chevy Pickup build would cost ... to make it reliable w/ modern components and such.

(similar to: http://www.classictrucks.com/feature...uck/index.html)

Any thoughts?

Think a sportbike could fit in the back?

Thanks!

My father in law has a 1960 ford F-100 that is solid as hell, just needs paint, or you could run it with the vintage patina that people are always trying to fake. he drove it to NW IL from California a few years ago.

you could have it for 1K

at the moment the motor and trans is out, but he also has a nice 302 and C6 trans sitting there he would part with for a few extra bucks. you could probably be up and running for under 3K, then do restoration later.

Tony, I'll keep that in mind. I'd still prefer a Chevy, but that sounds pretty solid. I'll have to let you know when I make a trip back to the Chicago area next week.
