Are you a helmet Nazi?

Yes or No?

A helmet Nazi meaning you wear your helmet all of the time no matter what, no matter if its 110 degrees outside. You tell people to wear a helmet when you see them not wearing one. When you see someone go by without a helmet the first thing that comes out of your mouth is, "Jeesh, put a fucking helmet on idiot!" as you shake your head.

How many helmet Nazi's do we have?

No.

I voted that I am not because all three statements dont apply to me. I really dont care if others wear a helmet or not its their head, not mine.

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.

+1 If I find some folks without a helmet riding with me, I show them the rash on my helmet. That actually got one guy to go home and put one on .

I always wear my helmet, no matter what. even for short jaunts to the store (3 blocks). Also my jacket and over the ankle boots.
I really dont say anything directly to others who dont wear them but I will give them a look and shake my head. As clearwaterms mentioned, I really look down on the young ones riding with out ANY protection, no jacket, boots, helmet or pants. I saw a guy riding last week wearing shorts and loafers with no socks!!

This weekend I actually saw a parent with thier kid on the back of a kawi 636 (I think, went by kinda fast) the kid was probably about 8 or so, just judging by size....Kid HAD NOTHING ON!!!! I don't care if you're a grown adult, but when you have your kid on the back with nothing on, that's crap!

you know, good pool nick.

i for one am all for safety i try to promote it, endorse it and encourage it.

bad thing is since ive gotten this goldwing, my speeds have droped big time, i learn to enjoy a new freedom of riding.

i only wear my lid on it 50% of the time.

reason? cause i like it when i get some air on my face and the world is so much more open.

draw back? no matter if i be as carefull as i can, watch for other people, and behind me, not speed and just CRUISE. something WILL maybe happen no doubt. i just hope its me dropping the bike then someone crashing into me and i dont have my lid on.

its been something ive been fighting latley, cause i know better!!!!!

on the sportbike i always wore my lid, on sportbikes, cagers dont give a fuck about you, and face it 70% of the time we are speeding and pushing it somewhat, leaning to far over on the streets etc.

i am not trying to say cause i drive like and old man on the wing nothing will happen to me, but i will lesson my chances for sure.

maybe i should atleast wear my 1/2 lid

<~~~signed confused idiot.

That was a mother with her child on the back of her cruiser with daddy's belt tied around kid and sissy bar.

I used to dress like a total squid, shorts and T shirt, but still had a helmet. At the time, I only really had the helmet because the wind would make my eyes water . Then I took the MSF course and checked out gsxr.com. Some of the pictures on there of folks legs, feet, and body scared the scrap out of me. Now, you won't see me ride the bike anywhere without a helmet jacket and gloves. I remembered skinning my knee on the ground playing tag as a kid, but that never really connected with me on a bike early on. I couldn't imagine my bare skin sliding for 50 ft on concrete.
