I'd like to get a count and a big group ride together sometime this summer. The sooner the better. I think the more people that come out the more fun it will be. We have a few good places to go in the area. Palos, Kettle, and Kalamazoo. My personal favorate is the later (Kalamazoo).

There was a lot of people talking about riding mountain bikes earlier in the year and I haven't noticed any discussion lately now that summer is here.

So, simple easy question, who rides mountain bikes single track dirt trail style?
I'm not talking about paved path boring bicycle riding, I'm talking about 180 beats per minute sweat your chode off, flying down huge hills, and climbing back up until you almost pass out on the dirt trail wear you helmet riding.

So yes or no? Who is game for this?

i do i do, but currently my MB is not in riding condition, looking for another 1 at the moment. My usualy rides are the boring type, just to get some cardio to rid of the extra fat on me.

Sunday, you want to drive to Kzoo? There are some good 2 tracks behind the Bud Dist plant out that way - The Kal-Haven trail is as much fun as drying paint - I do not have a bike rack to transport the bike so me driving in a car for 2 hrs to get to trails might be the deal breaker - I went to WMU so I know that area very well

So Kettle it is. I have a truck with a cap and Rachel has a car with a bike rack incase we have anymore straggling souls without transportation.

I'm not in shape for Kettle. I don't see how my having a grabber in the middle of the woods is going to add to anyone's riding experience.

Patrick, it would be worth the trip for you to come up hungover and not be able to make it up the first hill just for my enjoyment. I will make sure there are warm beers left over for you to drink when you get back to the truck.

Would be fun, but I doubt my knee can take the Kettle anymore. Last ride on the bike my knee felt like exploding after about 2 miles.

I do want to ride bro, for sure - With my recent plunge into the "single" life again, alot of my weekends will be spent on the boat or flying out - Both boast a 98% ROI and I am working on making up the other 2% by seasons end.

I get all edgy and shit if I don't clean the pipes at least twice a week - The 5 knuckle shuffle gets old real quick

How crazy are you guys with the mtn bikes? I used to ride back in college but the gut has gotten the better of me....... thinking of getting back into it.... doing the L.A.T.E. Ride this year...

Don't worry about slowing them down. I ride much slower than Nick and he just waits for me at the intersections. Eventually (after 7 miles or so) he starts to get tired and I keep up.
