go to the inlaws, my parents are out hunting and if it wasn't for my wifes birthday always being right by Thanksgiving I'd be hunting too, maybe next year she will get the point. When I am hunting Thanksgiving diner always depends on how the hunt has gone so far since there are only 3 days left then (Gun deer in WI)

I'm going home to Denver for Thanksgiving. Luckily, my younger brother will be there. The rest of the family are doing their own things.

So hopefully, someone will feed me.

Yeah right! So looking forward to not seeing family! This is perfect imo, I arrive at DIA an hour before my mom's flight leaves. How cool is that?

Me and my kids are headed to my Uncles house for Thanksgiving. My mom and brandparents are coming into town for a couple of days so we all will be pigging out Thursday afternoon. I always play football in the morning and then head over.

I have cooked thanksgiving dinner before. I was responsible for deep frying the bird. It turned out good.

I said this on another forum....really got flamed for it too....so I'll try here

"Men cook, women follow recipes!"

Hence since this poll is about cooking...I know the results already....90% will respond "I cook"

First dinner at the in-laws is sushi, so no cooking involved.

Second dinner at my parents, dad does the cooking.

I cooked my first turkey last year. My manager, being the organic freak that he is suggested I go buy a cage free natural turkey. My gf's work offered to pay for the turkey by bringing the receipt to them after the holiday so I said let's do this! I have no idea how much turkeys cost so when I saw one for $80 for a decent size I figured that was normal and bought it. Low and behold my gf's manager shit his pants when he saw the receipt and asked her what the hell kinda turkey costs $80 dollars needless to say even though it was my first turkey it was the best turkey that I have ever personally tasted. I still remember the recipe so if you guys want my method for perfect yet simple turkey let me know.

This year will find me in S America but my routine is the Turkey Platter and numerous Bloody Marys at Tavern on Rush - Friends join me before and after they do their thing and I end up sitting there for about 6 hours and it turns into a nice little party - I tend to buy all the drinks as it is my way of giving thanks for my great friends - It probably equals out to the same amount of $$ I would spend if I bought all the shit and cooked mydamnself
