Yeah it is.

I had 4 buddies from high school that had the intentions of being doctors. Of the 4, one didn't make it through his first year of his bachelors and is now in the Air Force. Two made it through their bachelors but didn't do good enough so they can't get into any med schools so they are both slowly becoming male nurses.

One of the 4 actually made it and is becoming a radiologist. Granted he still has a bunch of schooling left, but shit, the easy quarter-mil when he's done seems well worth it.

So one out of 4 isn't too bad. I'd put myself at #2 out of 5 on the intelligence scale with them, so I'm sure I could have made it into med school somewhere

Understandable.

My neighbor down in Bloomington was working on his PhD (in political science, no less ) and he made it sound like a pretty miserable experience. No idea why. He was an Air Force Lt. Col.
