Sportbike: Triumph Bonneville...the original sportbike!

I saw it on Dragbike.com forums and passed a copy of the flyer to my friends in the Norton club. Some of us are thinking about attending, even if it's just as a spectator. We're hoping to drag T.C. Christianson with us. It's on an 1/8th mile but just the sound and smells would make it worth it to go.
I'd love to race. The chatter with the promoter is that anything 25 years old or older will be able to race...possibly Jap bikes in one group, likely to run handicap and pushrod bikes in a time trial to index group of classes with fuel classe(s) added if any show up.
Anyone know where I can find a laydown (Yetman type) framed Triumph, BSA or Ironhead dragbike that may be hiding in a garage that the owner would let me ride for this or sell cheap?

T.C. Christianson? Saw his "current" bike a few years back at Great Lakes...had a nice chat and mentioned that I saw his bike in a recent book. Could have talked to him for hours.

T.C. is actually a member of the Chicago Norton owners. He shows up for about one meeting per year or one ride per year but we usually meet up with him at the BBC Rally in Eagle cave Wisconsin. It's an annual rally for old Brit Bike riders. BBC stands for British Bikers Cooperative...very cool group. T.C usually leads a VERY spirited ride through the bluffs of southwest Wisconsin on Saturday of the July rally...only the hardcore need apply.
This vintage drag meet looks like it may have potential. Are you thinking of taking it in? If I hear more about it I'll keep you posted.
