New Drag racing club?

Anyone interested in getting an area club going to further the cause of drag racing motorcycles? I see it as all inclusive of both vintage and modern bikes and both dedicated drag bikes and stock bikes at a grass roots club level starting out with sportsman racing with E.T. Bracket and index classes running for trophies. Maybe do dirt drags too.
I'm thinking an AMA charter would be the best approach and would give it legitimacy. It would also make the actual forming of the club very easy.
I'm just throwing the idea out there and testing the waters. Nothing has been officially started but if there is enough interest we could get those interested together and take the next step.
Post up or PM me your thoughts.

I'm still very willing to work with a group who would like to do this. We're coming in to the season very soon now and I am positive that a motocycle drag racing club could be just as successful as the car clubs that are doing it.
Drag racing is a great outlet and the strip is absolutely the best place to learn how to get those killer holeshots in ALL other forms of racing. It's also a great place to fine tune your bike and also a great place to get your first taste of racing no matter what kind of racing you ultimately want to do.
As of this post about 240 people have viewed the first post in this thread...Don't be shy...post up, get involved. I promise you it won't be too much effort and the fun you'll end up having will be fitting reward for your efforts.
I need 10 people minmum to charter a club. If we work together it will seem effortless and with the economy the way it is local strips will welcome us and be glad to make room for us to compete amongst ourselves and with guests.
