Here are some pics I took at the strip today. It was a nice day, no official races, it was open to anyone and everyone.

This is a great pic, a bike against a Land Rover. The bike gave the Rover almost half the track before it took off, and still one the race.


These two bikes raced a couple times. First two times it was the YZF due to reaction time, third time the Zook got it down and took the race. (Notice the wheelie)



This bike ran a clean 10.20 twice in a row. The guy really knew how to ride his bike.


The silver vette is a twin turbod 427. Its fast as fuck, ran an easy 11.3 and was slowing down at the end. The blue vette in the background didnt stand a chance.


Two nice 10 second Vegas.


This was one of two rale cars on the track today, but the only one to make a full pass. It was running bad, only in the 9.30s.


This was the coolest thing on the track today. A lifted Cummins Turbo Desil that ran low 12s. He kicked a couple peoples asses before people refused to race him anymore. Oh, and those are street tires in the back. (The black smoke was his exhaust.)


He beat this bug by 2 tenths of a second.


This was the other really bad ass truck on the track today. It was running mid 13s. Check out the back tire.

Nice pics, Texas. It looks like a lot of fun to attend. I would have loved to see that Dodge diesel kick some ass....

Im not sure if you want me or my sister. You would have to be buying me Jeep parts all the time, and my sister is very very girly. It would be a new purse, new shoes, or new jewelry for her like every week.

Here is a pic of just the bug. It was the chopped yellow car that raced the dodge truck in the third picture of the Cummins. It doesnt much look like a bug though.

I wonder how much hp the Cummings turbo makes? Got to be 450+

It was running more horse power than that. I think it had two turbos because he had to rev the thing for awhile to get enough back pressure and to spool the turbos. If I had to guess what the hp was, id have to say around 700. I cant even imagine how much torque that thing had just to get off the line as fast as it did.

It was neat though, he drove the thing to the track, and just as easily drove it home.

That yellow car looks more like a PT Cruiser than a bug..especially from the back. whatever-theyre both fugly

People have been modding the turbo diesel trucks for a while now. A little while back there was a video posted of a big Ford with huge offroad tires on it, all lifted up that ran (I think) 11-somthing. Gotta love factory turbo and huge displacement. Good pics, thanks.

you want to talk about fast diesel trucks. I believe if I remember right, this thing is fully streetable. Although I doubt that is very likely.

Very relaxed. They dont make you wear special gear unless you run under a 12. Plus, this wasnt a sanctioned event of any kind. It was just a day where people from AnythingCars.com could go and race each other. I think Union Grove does the same thing for some Chicago racing forum.
