Our own 1shadyninja @ Route 66 Dragstrip

Here is a few shots of our own 1shadyninja tonight. I had a great time watching the drags tonight, I am surprised there isnt more of us (CLSB) that are into drags.

I could see setting up a night ride down to the Test & Tune nights, plenty of room to sit anywhere you want, roam the entire facility, great bike parking, plenty of food, beer and lots of talent walking around, ooopps I mean on the track.....

i think the best time i ever got was a consitant 10.1 out of my 9r that was set up for street and never did anything for it at the drag to get a better time.

I used to do a quite a bit of drag racing back in India. My RD 350 ran many 13+ sec runs.

My question(s)- Can I drag with my completely stock street bike?
When does the racing happen?
Do I need any special licence or equipment?

wow, havent checked this post in a while.

i dont have the slips anymore, not sure if we even have those old ass posts from a few years ago but YES, i was pulling low 10's out of the 9r, the only thing the bike had was +3 in the rear, jetted and muzzy exhaust, running about 145rwhpr

i dont need to lie, that is what i remember and i know they where guys there watching and also running.

hell one time i snapped the clutch cable on a run and i had to have the wife drive my van over...that was a fucked up day...2 months after that i had to rebuild my stock clutch

Im stock except the +3 in the back and lowering strap
but Im not sure if the 2000 's made more power than the 98?
what was your weight at the time of the low 10 pass?

Ah I believe it with those mods...I didn't think you had it geared either.

I don't think the 2000s had any major changes other than the bodywork. Shady what gear are you in and what are the rpms when you're going through the traps? Might need just a little bit more gear.
