Rt. 66 - Tues night 8/22 test&tune

Let's see what ya' got. Look for an all black gixxer or a silver/black R1. (the gixxer will be the one layin' the spank down on the R1) I hope my buddy reads this.

My wife will be taking some pics so be sure to find me so she knows who to look for.

The usual questions: 1)jeans are OK if you will not exceed 120mph
2)you need a chain guard
3)you need some type of kill switch tethered to you so if you come off the bike it will shut off
4)textile jackets were not acceptable the last time I was there (2 years ago the tech guy said that NHRA rulebook says nothing about textile and if it isn't in the rules...)
5)I believe it is $15 for admission and another $25 for a run card

I know every time someone wants to go to 66 someone says "no let's go to track XYZ", but it's 20 minutes from my house, it's my thread, so start your own thread

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

Leathers pants are cheap. If you got to pick up a pair from your leather store. Wilson or whatever at the mall.

So for the tether, what do you do with the small screw and a wire? Screw it into the kill switch?

Use a small screw with the eye () on the end. Then tie wire or something from that to you. You need to make sure that when you pull it the kill switch goes to the off position.

A real teather kill will only run you 40-50 bucks and takes about 5 minutes to wire up.

I like having the real one as a little added teft protection.
